Default Nitrous on EP3s and DC5s. Tech based ONLY!

I searched and read through all of the search results for nitrous in our forums but I was just wondering about updated nitrous setups on some different EP3s and DC5s in the forums.

I don't want this to turn into a "nitrous is stupid and you'll blow your motor, turbo is better" thread.

If it starts to I'll ask TODD to lock it ASAP cause it is all personal opinion and I believe just like any other means of substantially increasing HP... It's all has to do with your tune, your supporting mods, quality of build, knowledge and maintenance, etc.

Once again. This thread is just to see what setups people are running and what numbers they are putting down. Links would be great to keep the thread a little cleaner.

The reason I am asking for this is cause I was a little more curious about it and wanting to learn more and discover people's setups, etc.

Well I'm installing a direct port 4 fogger setup this winter. I am only running around a 60-75hp shot just enough to put me at 300whp. Nitrous is safe and easy to use when done correctly. People who have never used it correctly nor have ever used it only know the stories of blowing up your engine. Blowing an engine is easily done, N/A or Boosted with turbo's and superchargers. As I start my nitrous setup I will post up pictures.

The majority blown engines are a result of not enough fuel. Tune your NOS timing and you'll run 9's! Sorry had to say it...

I doubt you'll find many people that have really done the homework with NOS on these cars. Sure, a few folks have it...but anyone serious about a K knows that you can get great N/A numbers and FI numbers.

NOS has a very small window of 'usability'. Most folks realize this and skip straight to building the motor in other ways. That's why we don't see many NOS threads in here.

The nitrous formula is actually quite simple with these cars.

- Bigger injectors (550's, 650's, 750's)
- K-Pro -THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT. Without it, don't even spray.
- Dry shot
- Tuning

K-Pro is very powerful when we're talking about nitrous, and I recommend the aformentioned setup to anyone that wants some HP/$.

Nice! See this is the type of thread I had in mind. I figured KPRO was a must.

Thanks... Anyone else have anything to add? I'm just learning more about nitrous K series.

Nitrous is great!! we install and tune nitrous at the shop and I can tell it is very addictive!! we installed a NX kit on a rsx type s awhile back and owner started with a 75 shot and is now a 100 shot. he daily drives without any issues. We had to install a K pro for the bigger shot and go another step colder on the plugs to a 9 heat range. Pm me if you have any questions.

You really need kpro so you can dial in the timing and the fuel....imo, the stock k-series motor is not a good choice for this, its just not over biuld like the older honda motors. If you go forward with this project, please post motor gore shots............

What more would you want? K pro does everything available and needed to tune these motors. So why would you want more tuning tools for a k series. Theres also AEM but thats a question your gonna have to ask someone else.
