Need 02 Sensor
Just replaced the clutch and now I get a check engine light. I used my odb sensor and it comes up as unknown error P1166. I have been reading some threads and I guess it is the 02 sensor.
Was wondering if anyone can tell me if this is the right one?

How would changing the clutch cause the O2 sensor to fail?
P1166 is Honda specific: Primary HO2S (No. 1) Heater System Electrical.
Check to see if the one who changed the clutch didn't pull the wires out from the back side of the plug to the sensor. It is 4 wires. I had this problem when I put my header on. It took a while to figure out the order the wires went, but it fixed it. You are only getting a heater code, so check it.

My buddy did it for me in his garage. I have no idea how it happened either. I just bought the car too. The light never came on until after we changed the clutch so I just assumed it was when he changed the clutch.

Get the car in the air (or jack it up and crawl underneath it) and check those sensor wires. I will bet that they have just pulled out of the plug. All you have to do is find the wire order and push the metal connectors back through the backside of the plug.

Maybe it had nothing to do with the clutch install and it just happened because of something else, don't over analyze it, it coulda just gone out conveniently at the time you put in the clutch.

Are you getting the 1167 code also? My mechanic replaced my clutch and I'm getting the 1166 and 1167 codes. I didn't see anything blatantly "pulled out". I pushed in all wires just to be sure and I'm still getting the codes.
Note: in the process of doing the clutch, the mechanic broke the Knock Sensor. We replaced that, and then started getting the 1166/1167 codes. I don't think there's a relationship between a broken knock sensor and the 1166/1167 codes.

Nope just getting the p1166 code. If anyone can send me a link of the right sensor to get I can order it ASAP. I live in Ontario Canada so I need to get an emission test done in a few weeks.

Alot of times when people take transmissions out from the bottom when you drop the mounts the motor is held on by the pass. side mount and it drops and pulls on the plug and will rip the wires out of the sensor

I will take a closer look at the wires going into the sensor and the connector.
My worst case scenario concern is that the wires were pulled out of where they attach to the ECU. It seems impossible to fix. Maybe that's highly unlikely??

Why would you drop the motor before the harness is through the firewall? Either way, you can re-pin connectors.

I checked this weekend and all wires look to be attached firmly to the sensor and to both sides of the connector.
