Re: ---- Lowest Coilovers for an EP ----
Don't mean to thread jack, but I figured I'd ask a suspension question here instead of make a new thread.
I've been searching for what suspension I want to use. I think I'm going to go with koni yellows and ground controls. I've read some good things about them and some people say they're better then some full bodied coilovers. My question is about the spring rates. The car will continue to be a daily driver, so what rates would be good for improved handeling while still keeping it comfortable? I don't race the car so just something for the street.
Also would anyone recommend a fullbody coilover, over the koni gc combo? Like would tien flex or buddy clubs be a better choice for what I want?

I'm running Tein Superstreets but am not happy with how low they go. I wish that I could go another inch or so lower in the front.

Re: ---- Lowest Coilovers for an EP ----
So what exactly is the limiting factor for these from going any lower? If we had that information we could work towards a conclusion easier.

Re: ---- Lowest Coilovers for an EP ----
5 inchs of upward suspension travel in stock form......If you drop the car 2.5 inces, you have reduced suspension travel by 50%....to reduce suspension travel by 50%, you need to incerase spring rates by 100% or you will bottom out the suspension all the time. Stock spring rates are 250lbs ft(progressive) and 440lbs rear(progressive), so you are looking at ft spring rates around 500-600lbs and rear rates around 900-1000 lbs...........that my friend is your limiting factor.
