Default K20A2 Race car VTEC problem

We have a race car powered by a K20A2 with a turbo and a dry sump system the ECU is Hondata KPro.
The VTEC will not switch to high speed no matter how it is configured.
The oil pressure is higher than stock ~70-80 psi at 5000, is this the problem?
Does anyone have more detail on how the VTEC works particularly the use of VTEC pressure switch?
Thanks
Brian

Any CELs?

And the raised oil pressure might be pissing the VTEC pressure switch off.
