No problem , all the information is on line if you look .Funny how there was so much mis information in this post , i don't say they were wrong just uninformed . i live in Asia and half of the printed info on Honda s is wrong ( for what there is where i live) . Honda made country specific cars over here that don't exist in other places . like a carburetor equipped d15 EGs , and non vtec b18b1 in EK civics .

I've heard that the base model RSX is better for boosting. Has anyone discovered this for themselves?

Sorry to try and bring this thread back to life. But i have 1 Major question. Can you turn the Base Model RSX motor into a Type S motor. it seems like the they are very similar with a slight variation. The cooling thing in the type S compared to a standard thing with the cams. stronger pistons and compression. i'm asking these questions because i recently found a Base model motor for 700. and i'm about to do a swap in my 94 LS. i've also owned a Base 06 rsx and it seemed pretty decent and everybody was saying it's better for boost because of the low Comp. please help!!!

I need a new engine on my Ep3 2002...If I buy the engine of a RSX base model..Will I have to make any modifications? Also can the manifold be swapped as they are different?.

Actually I believe it'll bolt right up, their both practically the same motor, K20A3. I think the SiR in Canada uses the same motor if I last remember reading it on google and Honda forums a while back.

The intake manifold on the other hand I'm not to sure, so I'll say "maybe" just to be on the safe side.

Hope this helps bruh

how much different are just the bare blocks?? could you just swap any k-series internals into any block? just wondering because i can get an a3 engine for cheap if not free, what a better way to start a build than with a free motor. ill most likely be talking to a local engine builder about this, just wondering what input the internet has.
