Gas Filler lid missing
I'm very curious about what seems to be a missing part on my RSX-S. It seems as though there is nowhere to attach the gas filler cap when you are refueling. On every car I've ever owned, there has been somewhere on the filler door to slide the cap, but there isn't one on the RSX. I've spoken to the dealer where I purchased the car, and they ordered a new filler door for me, but there was still nowhere to place the cap. They swear the part doesn't exist, but I'm not satisfied with that answer. Am I missing something? http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emcrook.gif

What did you buy the car for? Convenience or performance. If your answer is the later, why the type s? You have to be hassled w/shifting and stuff j/k
I think tht the lack of a fuel cap holder is a good trade for the xtra torque http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/h-emblem4.gif |

Re: Gas Filler lid missing (ArcticFreeze)
I know for a fact that 95 civic ex coupes did not have one. Also 91 civics, and 89 integras. Didn't honda make these cars? Well I guess I'm going to sue honda for jiping me out of the ALL important gass filler cap holder thingy all of these years.\

Re: Gas Filler lid missing (ITR145)
My sister's type s doesn't have it, so i'm guessing it wasn't included in production for the rsx.

Re: Gas Filler lid missing (ArcticFreeze)
stop complainging and shut up lazy guy. i think the title of this topic should have been, "gas filler cap HOLDER missing" when you fill up jus hold it or rest it on the top of your trunk, is that too hard to do??? i sure hope not.

Re: Gas Filler lid missing (ArcticFreeze)
so, how would a gas filler cap holder prevent gas from dripping on your pants? makes no sence. if you dont want to spill any gas on your nice whatever, dont top off and stick the gas pump all the way in the fill hole. why dont you go somewhere else and ask usless questions like this. http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emhammer.gif

Re: Gas Filler lid missing (Chois i-VTEC)
Easy solution...
1. Open rear hatch. 2. Remove Spare tire. 3. Place Fuel Cap where Spare tire was. There you go...a nice snug/safe place to put your fuel cap. Oh and I doubt you'll forget to put the cap back on while you're carrying the 30lb(estimate) Spare back to it's compartment. http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthup.gif http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthup.gif Another Problem solved, and many more to solve........*the saga continues...* http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsmile.gif |

Why didn't I think of that?!? Sorry, I traded in my Accord V6 and I'm just used to having certain amenities. All in all though, the tradeoff of luxury for sportiness is a good one. http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthup.gif |
