Default Full Swap Price Questions

What would be a good price to sell an entire '03 Type-S K20A2 swap for? It's got about 130k miles on it and that's about 80% highway driven by a guy in his 50's for the last 100k. This includes complete motor, tranny, mounts, shifter, linkage, ecu, wiring harness, axles, exhaust manifold and whatever else goes with it.

I hate to make a thread like this, but I've been searching forever on here and craigslist and I can't find a price for anything...

Also, the TPS is broke, so it needs a new one of those.

Full swaps usually sell for $2500-$3k. Check out K20a.org

Edit: I see that you're from Ohio. I meant to say that swaps normally sell for about $5-15 dollars and you should hook me up

So would it be a good investment to buy that car for $1500? If I part the entire thing out, would you (or anyone else) have a decent estimate for what I could get out of it? I'd just hate to see that thing get scraped...

its tough to make a buck on parting cars now a days.. but that swap would pull 2k prolly with the miles.. i dont want to get yer hopes up but my guess i think is personaly high..not to mention k20 swaps are les and less sought after now since k24s have taken off so much.. i mean thats what most of my customers are asking about at least.. and thats here in ohio

So what am I looking at? How in demand is the interior or the suspension and brakes or the doors? What kind of prices does that stuff go for?

Not much to be honest...you'll hardly make any money especially if you have to ship parts. Interior components are bulky and expensive to mail, same with heavy engine components.

Check out the classifieds on clubrsx.com to get a better idea on part out prices.

Like I said, just sell me the longblock and call it a day.

you might be able to make good money if you put the effort into selling the smaller things too. gauge clusters, shift *****, door panels and whatnot.

whole car for $1500? If so, I think you could make some profit off of it for sure. Sell the motor + tranny for $1200+, seats, cluster, radio/CD player, suspension, doors, other misc. exterior parts, etc... But I think that's a lot of hassle though... Or clean'em up real nice and sell the car for like $2k??? IDK...
