I think I hit every issue possible from EPS shutting down due to a vacuum leak to wrong, incomplete or damaged parts. It definitely has been a great learning experience.
Keep at it, I'm doing the same thing since this is my first K-series. I have a couple of more mods to do before I am satisfied prior to my Ring run. Suspension is next to install in mine, KW Variant 2 with SPC camber bolts up front and Hard Race adjustable rear camber arms for the back end.

I'm sure those Koni's/GC's are phenomenal compared to what you had, I loved that setup on all my other cars. I'm still not ready to pull the trigger on Todds top hats, I might be getting a DC5R full tranny instead...heheh..

Did some research on the trannys.. Stick with the euro trans ... shorter gears tons more fun... as far as my research goes what you have is the best....

Just a heads up on the Hardrace upper control arms... they are great, but rust is visible on the nuts and bushings after a month of use in GA ....

Thanks Valter, I just installed my DC5 KW's and the Hardrace rear camber arms yesterday and now I need some DC5 tie rod ends. I just ordered some Hardrace ones, just waiting for them over here in the UK.

I will post up pics later this week. I sent you back a message!

Icon6 M-Factory LSD installed...

Yesterday I just got my M-Factory LSD installed, while the tranny was off I also installed a new Fidanza flywheel and Exedy stage 1 clutch.

My car is a complete riot to drive now, the LSD works amazing and it changes the car to something so much more.

K-Pro 4 is on the way after my Skunk2 intake manifold and 70mm TB install..

pics to follow...

Icon6 K-Pro-4 installed and dyno tuned!

K-Pro 4 installed and dyno tuned by TDi-North here in the UK. I made all the power I wanted and the car drives great...except for a little jerkiness on very low throttle with the Skunk2 70 MM TB... I will work it out later...

Almost ready for the Ring!

Damn just saw this congrats on owning your first type *R* looking mean what numbers did you hit? After kpro. Also had a question that intake manifold is it the same as the ep3 Si or nah. I know the jdm type R came with the RRC not sure about the edm type R though.

My UK spec CTR came with the exact intake manifold as the US RSX Type-S. I just took mine off about a week ago and replaced it with a Skunk 2.

As of right now, I'm happy with what she makes. All I want to do right now is fine tune my tires/suspension, get rid of my 2 rattles due to a larger diameter exhaust and maybe get some Recaros from a 30th anniversary CTR....

After that, enjoy driving her at SPa and the Nurburgring next month. The whole goal is to drive fast but safely around the Ring in a car I built myself.

Bucket list!

Very nice man!!!

I just did Atlanta Motorsports Park and Road Atlanta... I can only imagine how much better Spa and The Ring will be with what the EP3 was meant to be aka no K20A3 POS ...
Good Luck and be safe!

Got her a nice shakedown test coming at Castle Combe here in the UK. It's a fairly fast track ( I drove it already in a Porsche 944) and it will be a nice shakedown prior to my SPA and Ring run!

Icon7 final preps for Ring

Well, I finally pulled the trigger on new tires for my Nurburgring trip, Eagle F1's on Subaru STi wheels on my Type-R.

I did a quick rattle can job with custom OEM Subaru Gold in a can so I could get the deep gold rather than the newish yellow gold.

Before the paint job:

Now some pics on the car. I did have to use 5mm spacers all around due to the weird offset of the STi wheels.

I will be adding ARP extended wheel studs to the rear wheels only fairly soon due to the rear wheels are just nicking the rear lower trailing arm under heavy turning. It's just the inner wheel weight that is hitting, no big deal!

Now on the car...
