EP3 wheel offset question.

EP3 wheel offset question.
Hello Honda Tech! It's been quite a while since I've last posted.
I come here today with a question pertaining to my 2004 EP3.
I have scoured the internet looking for information regarding wheel & tire size and offset, and I have found LOADS, however, I still feel compelled to ask this.
What offset do i need to run 16x8 wheels At stock ride height? 48? 45? 40? Anything less than a certain offset? The tire size I am planning on using is 225/50 r16, and it is my understanding that at stock ride height, that size shouldn't be a problem.
The only reason I even question this is because I have read in other threads that on a 16x8 you have to run lower than a 42mm offset, because the trailing arm becomes a problem on a wide 16. However; I think I may be one of few people who are still at stock ride height.
Thanks in advance for the replies!

Re: EP3 wheel offset question.
MotoIQ put 17x8s on their EP3 with a +35 offset and had to roll the rear fenders. +40 with 225s would probably be pretty close depending on your tire width, etc.

Re: EP3 wheel offset question.
Thanks for the reply! In starting to think that I should just go with a 7" width so that I don't have to worry about it. From what I can tell, the offset doesn't really make much difference at only 7" wide, and stock ride height.

Re: EP3 wheel offset question.
I've got Wedssport 17x8s in a +38, and the fender did need to be rolled. So the comfort zone with only small work needing done on an 8" width is about 37-42, from all of the research I did before i bought my rims. I'm on A-Spec suspension, btw, so only about 3/4" of a drop.

In that case, I will probably just go with a 7" width so I don't have to worry about rolling any fenders.
