So I decided I was tired of looking at those dirty rims, but not the outside of the rim... the inside. It's been neglected to long and so today I decided to do something about it. First I took some simple green and a wire brush and I went to town cleaning down the inside of the rims

On the left you see the clean wheel, the right dirty (these were pics of the back rims, the fronts were so much dirtier.



So now you have clean rims! Next step dry them off and take blue painters tape and newspaper and mask off the rim




Then go out to the grass and starting with light coats start painting. I used 1200 high temp flat black paint from autozone





Now let them dry, pull the paper and tape and check out the new look. It's simple and took me a couple of hours of hard labor cleaning mostly!

I hope that paint holds up.. otherwise it will look a lot worse if it starts chipping/flaking.

Are you using tuner lugs on OEM wheels?

in that picture they are OEM style lugnuts in black. I know about lug nut pitch and the different types of seats.

I'm curious as to how the paints holding up? Inside of my wheels def. need such treatment. Appreciate in advance.

Good question... haven't had the rims as I sold them... but I will see if the guy I sold them to still have them.
