Koni yellow with aspec springs rsx?
I have rsx aspec s shock/spring combo
on my ep3
I've been wondering
Does installing koni yellow replacement shocks actually lower your car a tiny bit?
I'm trying to plan ahead for when these shocks need replacement.
I do want my car to be a bit lower than what aspec is...just a tiny bit tho.
not enough to warrant buying an adjustable coilover set
on my ep3

Re: Koni yellow with aspec springs rsx?
I read somewhere that koni yellow shocks on the lowest perch or something will actually lower your car a TINY as in like less than half an inch?
This is a question...coming from someone (me) who has never seen koni shocks before...so....its a noob question...
here: http://ls1tech.com/forums/suspension...lower-car.html
just to show you im not just asking a completely dumb question...that thread says they do lower your car a bit?

Dude are you serious right now? I really hope you're just trolling for fun.
Pretty sure that an LS1 chassis doesn't have McPherson suspension like an RSX, so you're comparing apples to oranges.
The replacement strut won't affect ride height whatsoever, it's just a damper.

sadly I wasn't trolling.
I could have sworn someone with a tsx told. Me the same thing
so...some have different spring perch settings and some don't?

Re: Koni yellow with aspec springs rsx?
Sorry for bringing this thread back from the dead but the op wasn't wrong in asking if koni yellows would change the ride height. On some koni dampers the ride height can be adjusted via moving the circlip that holds the spring perch.
On the rsx/civic platform, only the rear dampers have adjustable spring perches. Unfortunately koni only included two possible perch positions. One is stock height and the other is 1/4" higher than stock (yes I measured against stock dampers). The adjustment might be useful to people that have sagging rear springs.
I wish koni included a few extra positions. It would be useful for evening out the ride height.
