Default JDM DC5 headlights, help!!!!

alright so i put jdm black housing headlights in my g/f's dc5 a long while back and theyve been aimed height wise numerous times, yet she still complains about how at night its not bright, so i took a few photos of the light angle/cutoffs for you guys to take a look at, it dosnt look very correct to me and im not sure how you would change it, i have stock HID in my 06 TL and i have jdm black hosing HID for my DC2... and they look nothing like this:
lemme know your insight!!!!!

if you can tell its like the light is on this sort of angle \ \ (not that horizontal) vs ----.
i know that the ends are supposed to jump up to the left but it seems more than just the ends are up..

now this may not look "that bad" but when not 6ft away from a wall, the light source is all over the place!

only thing i could really think of when looking at it, is that the bulb needs to be rotated to bring the angle of the light more flat??... but that dosnt make much sence since its the cutoff of the projector that controls the flat angle.

it also doesnt help that you have rhd projectors on a lhd car. instead of the flares going up to road signs, theyr going up into the windshield of oncoming traffic. Cant tell if left side is low or right side is high, but the bottom curoff should allign

Are they replicas? If so, it could just be a quality thing.

those dont look like hid projectors to me. even at that distance, there should be significantly more width. Im gonna assume these are replica headlights, and chances are you have a halogen projector with hid bulbs in them. If they were d2s, there would be no way to rotate the bulb as you mentioned earlier...its either return wire at the bottom, or they wont fit.

Ahh yes, another pointless mod that has form over function written all over it. It's bad enough when people use JDM headlights in North America that point in the completely wrong direction and often blind oncoming drivers (and make it harder for the actual driver of said JDM headlight car to see), but the OP has seemingly taken it one step further and used knock-offs that have issues focusing the light like it should be.

Some advice to the OP. If you care about your girlfriend, put the original headlights back in the car. That way, she'll actually be able to see properly after dark.

^ I agree, if you would like a bit more brightness get some nice PIAA or other quality halogen headlight bulbs.

indeed they do..but i dont have a problem seeing...and they wouldn't blind on coming drivers because they do point in the wrong direction..i don't what side of the road you drive on here in america..if they are not JDM HID headlights, then i wouldn't mess around with them

jdm hid headlights point more towards the right....in short it doesn't blind people any more than any other 6000K HID setup....if anything it would blind them less but i do agree with you that at times it is harder to see

ok, so i havnt seen the thread in a while after i posted. but these are authentic jdm dc5 black housing hid lights, with the ballasts built onto the bottom of the the headlight and the back cover of the hid bulb fixed with 4.. i beleive specialty hex nut things. now i was not certain if i could open it up and adjust the bulb "inside" the housing manually, which is what i was sort of asking, but i also agree that this light refraction dosnt look like OEM hid projector cutoffs at all, even compared to my DC2 which is an older headlight. but i appreciate being knocked.(always expected anyways)

never the less ill contact the company i purchased from to ensure they are authentic. and if anyone has any more positive comments or suggestions it would be appreciated.
