Bad wheel bearing feels like the brakes are on?
For the last few weeks I've noticed a humming from the rear driver's side, and assumed it was a wheel bearing (I know it's not a good idea to drive on bad wheel bearings, but money's tight and I had no other choice)
A few minutes ago I got the wheel in the air and when I spun it, it didn't want to spin freely like the brakes weren't fully released. I had an issue in the past where the brakes on that wheel were only wearing down on the inside. The inside pad wore down to the metal and chewed up my rotor, while the outside pad was probably at 80% life.
I fixed it (supposedly) after lubricating and installing new slide pins since the old ones were stuck and didn't want to move.
The other side spun fine, so now I'm thinking the brake problem has come back and it's not a wheel bearing.
Any thoughts?
