Any RSX owners as of right now?

I've seen about 5 of them already around Orlando. It really does not look too good, the roofline is way too high and the car looks short. One was behind me yesterday and i thought it was a new model Neon. Anyways does anyone on H-T own a RSX??? And how do you like it?

I have seen 3 in the SF Bay Area. Looks a lot better moving than on a standstill.

I've seen about 10 in jersey. I somehow spot them from a mile away. I went to

my local Acura dealer and they had a couple Type S with every possible option

including ground effects for $27,000. They look hot with the kit, but $27,000 are

they nuts? A friend just bought a Type S with out any extras, because he is just

going to take it all off anyway to install a custom kit & wing. By the way he seems

very happy with his purchase. http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthup.gif

Haven't seen any cruzin' around here, but I guess that's why I'm not too sure about them. Once I see one live I'll make my decision.

I saw a couple at the local Acura dealer and I was initially unimpressed with the looks!

Maybe I need to test drive the Type S in order for it to grow on me.

After seeing pics of the gen. 3 JDM Integra Type R and what it has, the RSX is not that impressive to me!

I'm sorry to break your little hearts, but, its official now that they're not coming out with the Type R in the U.S. http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthdown.gif

The Real RSX. . . (TypeR2001)

Agreed.

They better bring that extra 20hp over here!

Re: The Real RSX. . . (WOTTEG)

man that RSX is FUGLY as hell. I seen one on the road here too in Orlando. I'll keep what I got, if I decide to get a new teg, I'll pick up 01 Type R in yellow of course.

Re: The Real RSX. . . (FAST94GSR)

I don't care whether you believe me or not, but, when its the year 2010, and you still haven't seen a Type R on the road, remember what I said.

I never listen to what the dealership tells me. They're nothing but a joke! The only proof any of you have of a Type R in the states are those pictures that everyone likes to post online. That's the only proof you have. Show me something that Honda has officially come out and said that the Type R will be here, and, then I'll believe it. That is the only REAL proof you can show.

I don't want to hear about your friends friend who lives in Japan, and he says that its going to be coming to the U.S.

This is just like the Civic Type R that everyone used to talk about coming to the U.S. Where is it? I don't see it anywhere. Nothing but rumors. But then again, what do I know????

Ricehornet 07-21-2001 07:31 PM

Re: The Real RSX. . . (420TegLS)

420, i like your style.

Kinda like the Civic Type R, the EVO 7 people said would make it here this year, blah blah blah, i'll believe it when i see it.

People can keep waiting and waiting for the "better" car all they want, but IMO they will wait forever cause cars ALWAYS get better. My friend with the IS300 somtimes regrets buying it and not waiting for the stick...but then after we talked about it for a while i made him realize he shouldnt have waited, and should think in the "should have could have would have" mentality...cause he got it at a good price, it's a good car, and he had a blast with it for a year....My other friend leased his car , the next year the lease on that same car was like literally 40%less for some reason, he regrets not waiting, but once again we talked and he realized, he didnt know, there was no way of knowing, he had fun with the car, and is happy about it, ignorance is bliss somtimes.

anyway sorry for straying off topic, but as for rumors, i get Automotive Engineering Magazine, and they said the EVO wont come to the US, cause of emission problems....i've even heard stories about how it's ready , they just need to fit the IC better for the US front end....yeah right....

Re: The Real RSX. . . (Ricehornet)

The RSX is impressive. It has more torque and mid range than the R but it then the power starts to fall off.

The seats in the RSX S are nice as well as the short throw 6 spd shifter!

These are the only pluses for the RSX S over the ITR for me.

E Swift 07-21-2001 10:33 PM

Re: The Real RSX. . . (Edwin)

I'm just so tired of hearing about a phat car coming to the U.S., but, never happens. And, if it does, its a water-down version of it. Therefore, I don't care about it. True, its nice that we get the frame of the car, but, we're missing the heart of the car. The motor!

I also hear that we're supposidly get the Skyline R34 next year???? And, now its gonna be under the Infiniti name of just being called the R34? Hmmmm....I highly doubt that they'll be putting on that badass turbo onto their luxury line of cars.

Disappointing..... http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthdown.gif

Re: The Real RSX. . . (420TegLS)

420 you talking about how you want to see real proof of the RSX R coming to the U.S. b/c you are sick of people showing pictures and hearing "their friends friend" talk about it? You posted that is isn't coming to the U.S... WHERE IS YOUR PROOF OF THIS?

E Swift 07-22-2001 09:03 AM

Re: The Real RSX. . . (PYTypeR408)

I don't have to prove **** to you! I'm not the one whose jumping on the bandwagon claiming that "IT'S COMING!". The fact is, that not one person can tell me that anyone from Honda has officially posted that the U.S. will be receiving the Type R.

If nobody ever posted those pics of the "Type R" RSX, then you wouldn't be all hyped up over it. We have the Type S, Japan has the Type R.

I have been looking into this whole matter now for like almost a year now, because people like yourself are claiming that its coming to the U.S. But, then I realized that its just another false claim, just like the Civic Type R, Evo 7, Skyline, etc. etc.

Besides, the price for a Type S is like 27,000 dollars loaded from what I was told. Can you imagine what they'll tax on a Type R??????????

I truely hope that Honda does change their minds, and do bring it over here, but, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. When the day comes that I drive over to the Acura dealer, and I see with my very own eyes that there is a Type R RSX sitting there, then I'll believe it. But, until then, all I have to say is Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah!!! http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthdown.gif

Re: The Real RSX. . . (420TegLS)

This is just My opinion which means nothing but you know Honda will bring the '02 ITR/RTR over. I mean they are re-releasing the Civic Si in hatch form, the ITR was here before, and they are offering more factory fix up parts than ever before. Could you get a Body Kit for your 3 GEn Teg when it came out? No, but you could in 98 after the ITR came and went then was back the next year and stayed till 2001. It'll come again, Just not right this instance but maybe in '03 or so. I mean really, come on.

E Swift 07-25-2001 11:23 AM

Re: The Real RSX. . . (Zumo)

First of all, we aren't getting the CTR here in the states.

The OEM bodykit is not the same as the ITR. The front lip is similiar, but, not the exact same. The sideskirts are nothing alike. The ITR doesn't have a rear lip, whereas the OEM does. The OEM sideskirts are the only thing you can fit onto a 94-97 Integra. So, wherever you're getting your info from, its wrong.
