2001 Civic, does it have a rev limiter or speed limiter?
My friend has an automatic EX and it doesnt pass 5000 RPMs and doesnt go over 100mph! Whats going on?

the ecu will keep you from going over 5k in neutral or park. In drive you should be able to get it to redline. The only speed limit I have heard of is aroun 120 mph. that is in a manual. maybe the poor auto can't push past 100???

i have civic 2001 i been to 120mph.... i go 7000rpm every gear....and it is auto ask him...
well i have that netro box intalld that let me go to redline every gear....but it should go over 5000rpm and over 100 mph......tell him to get that chip see if it works for him
