Re: Abandoned NSX
IIRC there was an article in the National Geographic or on the BBC stating that many foreigners who had moved to Dubai for lucrative jobs were suddenly finding themselves out of work. The laws in Dubai are very strict on debt, and as a result many people simply left their cars and houses etc. and travelled back to their home land; instead of going to jail.
Despite many perceptions of Dubai being a wealthy state / country, it is actually in quite serious trouble. Much of the construction has ceased, and tourism is down.

Re: Abandoned NSX
With the debtor's jail justice system in Dubai , I guess a lot of foreigners just jump ship and bail back to their home country. From what I hear the airport is full of nice high-end cars, many people leave apology letters in the cars.
