Just posting in here, finally I suppose. Been on H-T off and on all the way back to my 2000 Civic, subsequently followed by my 02 S2000; and now joined by my 93 Formula Red NSX.

I've been in the market for about a year, but was holding out for a white NA1. But, a garage find, 93, 2 owner bone stock came up near me and I jumped on it.

Mine has a bit more miles than that, I'm at 97,6xx when I pulled it into the garage on Sunday. I couldn't justify a car with that low miles, seeing as how I planned on driving it.

I spoke with Alois Ruf several years ago and he stressed how much he wanted to get the earliest model 911 he could find. Found it in the US, restored it to show condition, and drove the crap out of it. I asked if he still had it and he pointed to the car in his showroom.

Then he took me around to his shop and showed me the Jag E Type they were restoring. It was down to the metal and they were replacing every bolt.

I'd like to do that to an NSX.

I'm keeping it close to stock, especially now at this point in the car's life. I have done exhaust and the DF AIS. But, I'm torn on replacing the OEM wheels with aftermarket or not. If I do change out the suspension, it will be for another OEM set with either Bilstein dampers/OEM springs, or OEM shocks/H&R springs. Not taking my OEM set apart. That's as far as my possible mods may go. I am not, absolutely not, going any further than that.

I have been doing the "nut and bolt" thing since the car had been a garage car for the past 2 years. OEM bolts and clips are expensive!

At least do the 16/17 wheels from the 97-01 cars. Those look nice.

They certainly can be.

I'm looking forward to the NSXCA meets that have "Best Stock Car" with owners bragging about how they've gone through the car and replaced every bolt and clip.

If you sell the wheels, let me know.

Black, if you do end up wanting wheels keep an eye on SOS group buys they do every now and then. My buddy got in on the initial set of Volks they did a few months back and got a smoking deal.

They do. But for what owners are asking, I could go with an aftermarket setup and be better off. However, if a set becomes available; I may just purchase to be able to switch back and forth.

They're coming, I'm sure. Chances on me ever selling them are unfortunately very slim.

I've seen that on Prime, some time back. I have two sets of wheels picked out which I'm going back and forth about. Similar sizing, about $1k price difference. Both 17/18. Or I could just drive over to the Enkei distributor a few miles down the road and buy Koijins, lol.

And Charles, please. I haven't had my EM1 in quite some time. I think I somewhat outgrew my screenname here.

Yeah I have been on Prime a little more now that I have an NSX. I'm more of a Honda-Tech guy...been here for a while. lol.

About a year longer than me, lol. I don't log into Prime much, more active on the Prime FB. Or the owners group on occasion.
