People not interested in this? You can always swap a 'NSX' engine back in just by bolting it back in and using the OEM harness...

I am doing it, and going to boost again. Easier/cheaper to blow up less expensive motors, amirite?

Less expensive after the first blow up but, of course, you'll have to invest in engine management, custom headers, tuning, mounts, etc. Many NSX swappers like to brag about the torque of the J series but they don't account for the NSX's gearing or the lower rev range.

Js are so cheap though that it worth the engineering exercise to see how much different in character a J swapped NSX is compared with the C30/32.

The price of the swap including all of the parts, is cheaper than just the long block C30/32. That's mounts, ecu, wiring, throttle body, headers and long block and other odds and ends. Slap a supercharger on it, and probably get close to 400hp. Not bad for bolt-ons lol.

Should just need valve springs and be good for 7k or so. How many people actually take their C30/32 to 7k, or even 9k for that matter?

Do you have a line by line list of the costs? B/c the people that have done this have high upfront costs that get absorbed later on when the engine fails...if it fails.

The C30/32 revs to 8k or 8200 if you chip it which I think many owners do. I rev mine to 8k and it's on jack stands. The C30/C32 doesn't rev to 9k unless you run a JGTC engine.

Used J32A2 w/harness 700
ECUMASTER EMU 1000
Mounts and other swap things 2000
Extra things (like valve springs, new gaskets, etc) 1000

For less than 5000 I think it is pretty feasible.
Probably make that back with selling the Basch Boost NSX Supercharger and AEM.
...I picked up another block/heads and harness over the weekend lol, already prepared to blow this hoe up.

Will you be tuning it yourself?

If I remember the J series isn't as wide as the C. What headers will you be using?

My brother is an EMU dealer (as well as some other stand alone units) and tuner. With that unit, keeping traction control and the AC compressor kick during idle, and other stuff, is pretty easy to deal with.

The motor is narrower, saving a lot of space and some weight. Just going to run the stock headers for now. Get it running, and then bolt an M90 onto it. If I need more power, I will get headers later, or have some made.

The link you had above for the k20nsx was for a race car that never ran publicly and the shop disappeared.

I believe this to be the First street NSX with a K series swap, not easy or cheap.
