Had my NSX painted. During/After pics
Cross-posted from prime. Thought some of y'all who don't go there might enjoy these pics.
My poor old NSX has been looking kind of raggedy lately. Little stone chips all over the front end, some cracked clear-coat on the rear bumper, numerous little scratches on the spoiler and roof panel, remnants of long-ago bug spats on the rear view mirrors, acid rain spots that you could see if the light was just right. It was time for paint.
On July 20, I dropped my car off for fresh paint and on August 20 I brought it home. It looks terrific and I'm delighted to have it back! Here are some pics .
I went to visit it and take pictures every Saturday. Here is the first Saturday.
Second Saturday.
Third Saturday.
Forth Saturday.
And the last day.
This is my happy face, I'm getting my car back!
That night I took it for a little cruise out the the beach. Got to see a great sunset and managed to beat the rain coming home.
Sunset in the rear-view. Right where it ought to be.
Then of course on Friday it rained like hell while I was at work. Lost its rain cherry in less than a day. That's okay, it cleaned right up when I got home.
All of the Before/During/After pictures can be found here.

love that color! it must have hurt to see your baby in so many pieces while they worked on it. How many hours of labor was that when all was said and done?

Only seen that color in person once, loved it though. Must have been very nerve racking picking a place to do the work. Came out great though

Thanks for posting, looks like they did a good job. Just be very careful with it for at least 3 months after it being painted. The paint is still really soft and will scratch very easily.
If you don't mind saying how much do you have into that paint job?

Congratulations...I bet you're loving it now. This pic really shows off the depth of the color:
Coincidentally, paint is the next big thing on my list of "To-Do's."
