Seems people are having a tough time understanding this, maybe it will burn into their retina now....

<u><FONT COLOR="red"><FONT SIZE="7">JDM 98 spec 16" wheels will require at least a 7mm spacer in order to clear Spoon calipers</u></FONT></FONT>

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Spikey &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">As Saga has stated, JDM 98 spec 16" wheels will require at least a 7mm spacer in order to clear Spoon calipers</TD></TR></TABLE>

BTW For the people just posting "Yeah it fits" how about some pictures showing your JDM 16" fitting without spacers.

Yeah 6mm would do, but it would be safer with 7mm.

Len: I think it will be tough to get 7mm spacers here. I use some 8mm that I got when I was in Japan. Good quality stuff...I would totally suggest them (if you can find them) over something like H&R . They look like this:

Jdmspoonitr, MikeM, Esponet, Saga =

Thanks guys, that's what I needed. Hopefully this thread will be useful now with that cleared up.

So the 7mm spacer is going to be pretty rare. I got to start looking now, where's my JDM ***** Kengs when I need him?

I'm right here, u silly n00b

SS Work's has a 7mm spacer; 4x100 or 5x114.3
http://www.on.rim.or.jp/~ssworks/list_intext.html

If you need a super-wide spacer, go with KSP-Eng/Attain:

i was ok without the extended studs, it still had a good enough threads left for the lug nut to hold on to. but that is one of the reason why i got rid og the 16 " itrs, and went with a rim that clears without spacers.

You mean those slotted ones? Look like AP-Dixcel, especially since they belong to Saga

Can you get away with the standard studs using the 7mm spacers?

Extended studs are recommended for spacers over 5mm due to safety concerns.

It's a safety issue, don't risk it.
