Where to buy parts?

Where to buy parts?
Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the ITR world. I called Acura a few times for parts and they seem to be all discontinued. Where does everyone go to get parts that are OEM or OEM replicas?

Maintenance parts are available through the dealer.. however, accessories for our cars are long discontinued, the only Optional accessories available for our cars as far as I know are the 98-01 Foglights and 2001 type r Flootmats. For anything else you'll have to hunt on eBay, the classifieds on this forum or Instagram/facebook.

To the OP, parts for the ITR are becoming discontinued at ever increasing rates. It's not just accessories and cosmetic parts (interior pieces such as steering wheel, pillar trim, rear side lining), it's also maintenance items (idler pulley), which is alarming; ITR-specific mechanical parts (steering rack, rear shock absorbers), ITR-specific parts (rear spoiler).
My advice is, search every category in the online parts catalog on a site such as www.acuraoemparts.com and for each item you need that is discontinued, search on a site like www.partsgeek.com to see if there is an OE replacement. Also try the usual places like eBay and our classifieds; make a want to buy (WTB) post. Can't hurt.
The newest ITR is now 16 years old and even parts that are common with other Integras (rear ABS lines) and even with the 1988-2000 Civics are discontinued (underfloor heat shields for b-pipe near fuel tank). I think the NSX may have better parts availability.

Another bit of advice they imparted was to go for a car that was a "special", but that shared most of its underpinning with far more common models, because then parts become much easier to source as the years go on and a model with a large tuning/aftermarket supply in the period and after. They agreed the Teg R is most certainly well within that bracket with so many commonalities with other Tegs and Civics of the period and a huge tuning/aftermarket industry. They didn't worry so much about mechanical parts. Their contention being that they can be remade, repurposed from other sources and kept going for longer than interior and exterior parts. Seats can be later recovered, panels can be welded and so on. Another advantage is the fact the R was sold in many markets and used parts are likely to remain at some level of supply for a while at least. Though local to me I saw an advert for R strut braces and the seller had five of them and I realised that meant five dead Tegs. We also have an advantage previous restorers and savers of cars didn't have; the internet. As your good advice said;
