Where is the BEST place to go for an alignment?

I woke up early in the morning to get my alignment done @ my local Sears automotive! My Dad goes there alot, but when i got there; they said they couldnt align my car b/c it was lowered? WTF, so shiet cant spend $60 there! PPl der didint want align my car! They said Sears policy is not going to work on it!

I went to the Acura Dealership and they charged $80! Damyn its too much!
I just got my outer tie-rods put in this pass Mon. plus im running on new rubber on
all 4 corners! I was thinking of Goodyear Automotive, but today i dont have any fuckin time!

Well, my question is, should i go to a low-ball place to get an alignment for a low-ball price or SHOULD IT MATTER? My safe-bet is the dealership!

Has anybody encountered this problem before? If so can you guys tell me where and how much is it to get your alignment done! I just dont want pay cheap price for cheap service? You guys think $80 is worth it @ the dealership? Any suggestions also?

I would like to ask ALL the DC2-owners opinion's since i ask YOU TECH-OWNERS FIRST! I ALWAYS EXPRESS MY OPINIONS ON THIS BOARD! Very informative!

Thanks! http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsmilep.gif http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthup.gif http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/embeer.gif http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/embeer.gif

Well, sicne we all OBVIOUSLY live in your area, we'll all know just where to suggest. http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emhammer.gif http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emhammer.gif

a nice like "around Houston" in the title would be a good idea. http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthup.gif

When I took my car to NTB for an alignment last time, at first they where skeptical as to whether it would make it onto the Hunter alignment machine. When I asked them to give it a try anyway, the front spoiler cleared by just a few mm.

Basically, I think they didn't want to get stuck paying for bodywork or some other type of damage claim. http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emdgust.gif

I had the same problem getting new tires mounted onto my stock rims. Sears wouldn't touch it, nether would 5 other places I called. I ended up just letting Acura do it.

what i do is raise my suspension to near stock levels have them align then drop the bitch back down! you may have to go to place that specializes in road race cars. look in your phone book

Same thing happened to me. I went to one of those hand car wash places where they put your car on a track and it drags the car as they wash the car. They said they couldn't put it on the friggin rack because it was lowered (mines is stock suspension). They charged me an extra few bucks to have it washed manually.
As far as alignment goes, I would go to places that do quality work like dealerships or a few performance tire shops around my area. Just remember you get what you pay for.
Only the best for my R!

The alignment on Type R's is supposed to be slightly off, the camber too, I would take it to the dealership. http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emdgust.gif

I've seen cars go on our alignment rack and scrape. Oh wells, shouldn't put big nasty body kits on.

I do it at SEARS as they have pretty neat machinery and will have a color print out of your car's camber and toe...etc at the end.

I have had very bad experiences with tire plus.

They scratched my rim and the manager tried to deny it. Take it to the dealership
