Price is way to high considering the damage listed. I just bought my 2001 ITR about a month ago with only 17000 miles. MINT no dents and ding for 19000 from acura dealership. Car comes with aem v2,apexi n1 exhaust and carbon hood. Everything else is stock. I think the seller is lucky if he could get 19k.

Thanks.
Speaking of rarity, there were only 250 ITRs available with the color scheme of Championship White paint and red seats with red stitching. Also, Championship White wasn't available anywhere else in North America in 2001, but Canada.
At the end of the day, you can claim this cars"damage" kills its value, but a small ding and rim scratch are not a big deal and are easily repaired. The rest of the car is immaculate and very well maintained.
If you can find another one as rare as this, good on you. Most ITR's out there I've seen for sale have been beat up, modded, stripped (willingly or not), etc. This car was purposely left near-stock for the sake of not discrediting the amazing work Honda did on it in its purest form.

quote from article....
It was an Acura service-training vehicle and, until Acura decided to sell it earlier this year, it was never titled. When it was made available to American Honda employees for purchase, more than 100 of them signed up for the privilege of buying it. Gary Robinson, an old friend and the new head of Acura Public Relations, won the lottery. And then he made the mistake of mentioning his purchase to us over lunch.
so benny i work as an auto insurance appraiser here on the east coast. The going rate to "fix" a wheel is between 150 and 175. There are guys that do repairs at dealerships, or there are companys like keystone who you can send the wheel off to. the guys who hang at the benz and porsche dealers are ideal, they'd have the wheel back to you in a day.
how bad is the ding and where on the rear? if it's not through the factory paint PDR (paintless dent repair) is what is used to fix hail dents sometimes as large as qrts and half dollars. for one dent of this size figure 150 bucks if you can get by with PDR. For conventional repair including painting it depends what panel and what the painter will have to blend, etc. Figure 500 bucks to be safe.

Should always save the next owner a hassle, car would look far more appealing if you took the time out to do those small things.

The car should sell for about $19k. Right now the difference in the exchange between USD and CDN is pretty close to par. Some days US currency is worth 1 or 2% more and other days Canadian is worth 1 or 2% more.

Re: What's it worth ? 2001 Type R 20,500 kms
this car brand new is 32700 CAD in 2001.
i've seen 1998 itr for sale in year 2001 it was still going for 28000.
i dont know what is the TOP dollar for you guys but its less than what it was brand new. which is still good.
we're now in recession so it's probably hard to find a buyer that would pay alot for it.
if i were him i'd hold on to it for next 10 + years and sell the car for 50K +

That has to be one of the cleanest low mileage ITRs in North America. Definitely will appreciate in value if it is kept in current condition. Yes, the red seats were ugly (and still are ugly today). If the owner (Benny?) has room to store the car indefinitely I would not part with it for $20K. If storage is an issue, hard to see anybody paying more than $20K for it today.
There is also a very nice 2000 CW ITR on Kijiji with 95K KMs asking $16K.
