what is my R worth?
i am thinking about selling my 1998, in favour of somthing mroe daily drivable. I ahve two bikes now, so the R really got demoted to a winter beater http://is.rely.net/1-92-30009-l-tEzP...BTGi0jOCgA.gif which is not right lol
I have no idea what to ask for it though it;s a 1998 with A/C, fronts a bit stone chiped, and could use some paint to be %100, but you don;t notice the chips unelss you are a foot away. I was going to post pics but you can;t really seem them in pics either it also has 172,000kms on it and counting, but i have %99 of the maintence records (T belt water pump, oil changes, alignemnts, tires, tune ups, wheel bearings/hubs, rust proofing) It's all stock really with the exception of koni yellows to repalce the toasted stock shocks, and no rust to speak off https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif i was thinking 12-12,500 Canadian? Not every day you see an R with this many Km on it for sale, which is why i am asking. most don;t last this long https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif |
Re: what is my R worth? (zc911)
Well, it's got somewhat high mileage. And I'm not sure what you mean when you say it "could use some paint to be %100" - is that simply a matter of chips on the front end, consistent with the mileage? Or fading or dents or other serious problems?
Higher mileage ITRs tend to be in okay (i.e. not exceptional) shape, and if it has a clean title and no serious problems, tend to sell for around $11-12K (USD or CAD, both are about the same now). I would list it for sale at CAD12500, and be prepared to give a little when negotiating price. |
Re: what is my R worth? (nsxtasy)
Yup clean tittle, and nothing to hide. One goof did bump me at a light. Could have just repainted the rear bumper as it was just scuffed witha small scratch, but i talked Acura into replacing it (receipt for that too)
the paint would be just the front end consistant with mileage, and a scrap on the bottom of the front lip. The rest of the paint is in great shape. this summer i was offered 12k (with 165,000km on it) from a dealer as a trade towards an 1998 M3. Guess we will see once i go test drive some cars. i really like the R, so i'll ahve to make sure i like driving somthing else before i go and sell her |
Since the itr was selling for 10 grand more than in the us in 98, im pretty sure you can get 13-13.5 K for yours if it has a clean title and no accident

Re: (Punkaddic)
It does have high KM.
I would start it at $13,000 and work from their. Some pictures would help... |

Sure, why not? You may get more, and as long as you're not in a hurry, you can always lower your price if you don't sell it after a while. |
