Top Speed(er)

Question to all ITR owners, I was trying to see if my ITR had some power at higher speeds. So I attemped to max it out, but usually end up running out of highway to do so. Highest I ever gone was 132mph.

Has anyone gone surpass this?

Its possible to bounce the revlimiter in 5th with a stock engine.
Thats around 150mph

Re: Top Speed(er) (liquidscor00)

lol, you think you're the top speeder with 132? i've personally only taken it to around 130 because there's no point in seeing how fast i can go on the highway, but there is a video that shows a stock R doing about 150. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

Re: Top Speed(er) (nightrider)

Well that's what I meant, Top Speed or a Top Speeder who is faster, or someone can post a video of it. I definetly don't think that I reached its top speed or am a Speeder, just seeing what other people have tried.

As matter of fact, Yes https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif but the speeder is only a title. Just having some fun.

CAN ANYONE TOP THAT?</TD></TR></TABLE>

I think a lot of regulars here can top that, and I think you'll find a number of them have tapped the limiter with lightly modified or even stock cars. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

What you'll have a harder time doing is getting any of them to admit to a criminal misdemeanour in print on a Web board. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif

Re: Top Speed(er) (liquidscor00)

right, and i told you that there have been people that hit around 150 on a stockish R. search for the name Fat Bradstard.

yeah i hit 132 before.. doing 230km

140 mph indicated. Not smart. Never been over 110* in any car since.

* On the street with me driving. I've ridden with others on track and have exceeded that speed.

The word actually has <u>two</u> different roots.

One root is from Old French, the word jaiole.

The other is from the Norman French, the word gaole and the g was originally hard, not soft like a j.

Neither word is very Saxon, but it seems the g-word has the edge because it was at least a Norman word and so used by the English before the other word. http://www.honda-acura.net/forums/im...ilies/loco.gif

I prefer the distinction between "jail" and "prison";
the first seems a little casual (come as you are), whereas the latter is for the HARD CORE convicted criminal.
Hmmm ...

Yeah, the Pig feels a little floaty over 100 mph. I'd love to try it in the wagon, but top speed on that poor thing is 86 mph indicated. That's with the pedal matted on a level to mild downslope https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif

For some reason, she's a beast (relatively speaking, of course) up until 80, and can slide up to 85 while passing, but just hits that brick wall at anything above.
