Tonio's '00 ITR
Hello guys,
I purchased an ITR about a month ago. I've always wanted to own one of these cars. The opportunity to buy one came up and I ended up snagging it. Here is when I brought it home:
After that, I parked it and haven't done much to it since. Just collecting parts here and there.
The previous owner decided to do an engine bay shave. It's not really my style but, after countless hours of him sanding I figured I might as well finish it.
Here is what the car and engine bay look like:
After some thought, I will end up putting a K24 in the car.
The engine will consist of:
87.5x99 K24A4
13.7:1 Wiseco Pistons
Blueprint Pro I Beam Rods
Drag Cartel 4.5 Cams
S2000 ERL oil pump
Drag Cartel CNC ported head
Supertech valvetrain
Kinsler 60-62mm ITB's
Myers Custom Manifold Header
The idea is to get somewhere close to my 330whp mark on E85.
Here is a few pictures of the assembly:
At this point I'm waiting on the brake line tuck and the swap harness. More updates later.

nice Tonio . I'm thinking about doing a NA 2.4L to the PY also; but mines will be a H. Congrats on the pickup and good luck on the build

At the moment I have a 6-speed transmission with plans to rebuild it.
H series motors are awesome!
Thank you!
Thanks!
Are you from the area as well?
I know of about 4 ITR's in the Newburgh-Middletown area.
Cheers!
Thanks!
Unfortunately yes. Not my first choice. I do have the entire ABS set-up. I might put it back on. Is it absolutely necessary to use ABS on a race?
Thanks!
K power!
Will do.
Yeah man!
I'll probably work on it today for a little bit.
I have to put the front end back on.

Best of luck with the rebuild. It's always great to see others restoring these cars. I'm even happier to hear this car has a life of tracking ahead of it. That's what these caRs were build to do!
What are your build plans?
For a track caR, ABS isn't necessary at all. The ITR ABS system is good but it can be a crutch for some. I made the switch to non-ABS in 09' and I haven't looked back.
