Theft of R's in Calgary, Alberta (in CANADA)?????
this is for any R owners in canada, or anyone that's familiar with Calgary. I live in hickville Canada, about 5 hours from Calgary. I just bought my R 2 months ago and was thinking of taking a trip to Calgary, so I was just wondering how bad/likely (if at all) of my R being stolen there. I only had the R for a short time, so it'd be nice if I could keep it for a little longer . I definitely know that the R is very prone to theft in Vancouver, so I'd never take it there.

Calgary is fine. Imo. From the passed 5 years experience of living in there..
But then again, you better have an alarm and pick a good place to park.

R rated,
I'm quite familiar with the Calgary area.
Like everyone sais, it is all going to depend on where you leave your car and how dumb you are with it. ie: if you have a stereo and you play ir super loud in a neighborhood where crime is high...well...enough said.
For the most part Calgary is a pretty safe city. Stay away from the N.E. section of town (not all of it, just the shady parts) and you should be ok.

Isn't there Boomerang or some other tracking device available in the U.S or Calgary? If so then why not spend the money and get it so at least you can walk around care free because you know they will find it. I think thats the best alternative for now until someone build those detectors to sense them.
