Default T1R test pipe

Are there any advantages or disadvantages to adding a test pipe to stock header and exhaust?

i just bought one and it should be coming in the mail by next week. i was running a hollowed out jdm cat, but got tired of the buzzing and rattling sound. gonna see how the t1r does. my setup is the stock jdm 4-1 header with jdm bpipe and muffler.

I have a T1R testpipe. I have a JDM length version, so it doesn't have the bung for the O2 sensor.

There's absolutely no room on the JDM length to weld in a bung.

When you change to a 2.5" header collector, test pipe or high flow cat and cat back, then you will see some difference. I changed all I mentioned on mine and really didn't see difference between using the straight pipe (2.5") or the high flow cat except for the ricer buzz sound with my Apex N1 and the test pipe. LOUD!!!

Not much. The oem header is the main bottle neck in the exhaust system, along with the neckdowns in the B-pipe.

Only thing you'll gain is a CEL.
