However, for the slight amount of mods that the R had it did ok. On that note though, it was too under-prepared to show what a good track/autox R can do. Losing to a Del Slo is just embarassing
That's frank@b16a.com Del Sol, which is completely gutted and has lots of engine mods and Type R parts. That car is known to be quick, so it is not surprising that it beat the Type R, which is basically stock with full interior, as the article said. It also said, if not for the skid pad results, it could have finished much better. Just .01 g more in the skid pad, it would have beaten the Del Sol.

Robbie is a good guy, his R has CTR pistons and ctr cams in the motor(so I have heard, I am unsure of eveything in the motor). But the motor is definitely not stock. I remember him telling me how much power he was running and it seemed pretty good for CTR cams. Supposedly the dyno he had his car tuned on gives lower hp numbers, I didn't think it was up to 200 last time I spoke to him about it. I also hear that Dynamic Autosport has a dyno that puts out higher than average numbers. Horsepower seems to be a relative thing cuz every dyno is different.

Props to Frank Lin (I've seen him on this board), owner of the Del Sol. Can you say Rhys Millen?
Ha came across this old thread. My car beat Robbie's ITR in many categories. :-) And mine was (and still is) just a B16A...

Now I plan to push to break the Street FWD record with the car. It is going for a full strip down and rebuilt to the max limit of the rule book. It'll be turbo B16A on E85 with min. of 450 whp, lots of aero, full cage... aiming for 2300 lbs w/driver.

Record is held by Turbo EK Coupe from Canada with 650 whp. But he's heavier... lap record is like 1:52.x
