Slightly OT - Tire Pressure Gauges

Before someone screems at me for puting up a non-ITR related topic, I think everyone can benefit from a good tire pressure gauge, and w/ an abundance of auto-Xers and other hard-core wanna-be http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsmilep.gif racers, I should get some decent answers.

Having said that;
in my life I went through a number of tire pressure gauges, the push-up type, the dial-gauge type and even an electronic one and everyone of them has broken on me in some way or has not been showing a proper reading.

The CR-V was getting an oil change last night and I noticed that the mechanic had a very nice Snap-On tire pressure gauge, however it was $60 http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emexclaim.gif ... I'm just not willing to pay that much.

Can anyone recommend a good quality (strong, well build, long lasting) pressure gauge?

Thanks,
-Kamil http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsmile.gif

Yes, one of these from the Tire Rack.

Or, you can go down to your local Radio Shack and see if they have this one or this one. The latter appears to be the same as the second one on the Tire Rack site, but at a lower price.

I have the same gauges, for the same purposes. Highly recommended by me.

I have the Longacre deluxe gauge. It's very good.

What is more accurate?
Digital?

Or The moroso analog gauges?

I like the Moroso and other mechanicals because I can bleed off pressure and read pressure at the same time. I have a digital tire gauge that I never use.

I have a digital guage. Very heavy duty with a bleed button and acurate to .5psi. I like it a lot and it is east to read, reset and is only $36. I go it at http://www.pegasusautoracing.com you could probably get by with something a lot cheaper but if you use it every sunday a good one is nice to have.
