Quick question about the wheel boot?

How many of you Type R owner use the wheel boot on your car? I'm contemplating about getting one the but price tag is a little high. I have a garage and all but there have been quite a few ITR stolen lately. What do you guys think?

Mine is garaged too, I have it alarmed and Clubbed. Don't boot it. Planning on doing the removeable stering wheel though.

pay now to help keep the car safe or pay later for a ton of aspirin because of the headache and hassle youll have after dealing with settling a stolen car claim. one way or the other yer gonna pay so you might as well do it now. although i wouldnt boot my car in my garage unless i left it there for a long period of time while on vacation or something. im lazy and high on codine.

if you have any questions let me know. i assume you are talking about the orange boot? i used to sell them here.

and understand it goes on and off the wheel in less than a minute. and fits nicely behind your passenger seat on the floor. click on my name to see a closer look of it

removable steering is nice. but you can still turn the car and drive away. ive tried it when i have my mugen set up. and it actually makes it easier for thieves.

1. no worries of cutting the steering wheel to remove the club.
2. and it makes poping your ignition easier since theres nothing in your way.
3. the worst part is getting into an accident, then being dropped by your insurance company for messing with the airbag system.
4. then getting charged with a felony by doing so.
5. then getting sued by the other cars insurance company for damages

all for just having a removable steering wheel.. let alone living in socal.. the sue happy state. good luck hope you dont get in an accident https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

regardless of the boot, someone could still drag your car up on a flat bed. http://images.honda-tech.com/set1//smile/emcrook.gif

This and only this is the reason that I love to have a lowly GSR... albeit with 6-7K invested... and the fact that I live in MI doesn't hurt for the whole theft of import thing https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

Plenty of Integras have been stolen in Michigan. Going around with that cocky atitude doesnt help either. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emthdown.gif
