Default Powdercoated jdm header?

any-1 have pics of a jdm type r header that has been powdercoated or painted? seems most of them all turn brown/rustish and what not

also any-1 know if its necessary to change the header gasket if the header is removed? is it re-usable or does it have to be replaced every time?

also, what about the intake manifold gasket? that need to be replaced or can be re-used?

Header gasket can be reused while the intake manifold gasket is a one time thing.

Header gasket can be reused, and intake manifold gasket is like 6$ from local parts store. Just buy a new one to be one the safe side, as you would not want leaking collant/water issues to arise.

Its best to get a brand new header thermal coated. or like jet coated (I havn't heard the term in a while)

But this stuff keeps the temps down the engine bay and raises the velocity of the gases going through the exhaust, hence some more power. But the manifolds usally look white.

let me try to find a pick.

Its best to do this to a manifold that is brandnew, one that hasn't been heated up.

I just did some seraching around...just search for 'ceramic coating'

You will find what you need about it there...and it only costs about 100-200 bucks.
