Default Odd click/clunk sound....

is coming from somewhere up front. I did the "jiggle the wheel" test for bad wheel bearing but it seemed okay.

The sound is most noticable at low speeds (<10mph) on uneven roads. Most of the time it's a click or a clunk sound, but occasionally it sounds like metal crunching

broken hub? axle going bad? *shrugs*

yshi - whose only got two weeks to figure out what's going on and to fix it

hmm...I had a similar sound and it ended up being my rotors, but I know you have very new rotors so it doesn't seem like that could be your probelm.

no i haven't. I think j00 mentioned that it's come l00se on j00 ri? Those nuts are dented on side so I thought they couldn't come l00se, but I'll put a torque wrench on them and check it out.

remove and replace... IMO

once the new nut is on.. make sure that the dented side is well dented.

3/8"-6" long ratchet extension makes a nice dent in the nut.... BFH is always nice.

the screwdriver method of nut denting does not work as well.

My car makes the same odd thunk/click metal to metal to metal sound too. But only when I brake abruptly.

Kinda like something hitting the frame or something, it seems to be coming from the front suspensino. Yoshi, you need to fix yours so you can fix mine.

check to see if your brake pads move up and down in your caliper. if so look at the pad clips to see if they are ok.

Please sovle this mystery! My car had this problem ever since going over a big pot hole. Whenever it goes through uneven roads, the rear passenger will give me this CLUNKing sound. I hated it so much! Sounds like my car is falling apart.
The EXACT samething is on my ex's 00' GS, so I don't think it's a ITR only problem.

BBasso also had this problem and he's taking the car to the dealer and see what's up.

Do you have aftermarket brake pads?

Sometimes aftermarket pads jiggle around when you hit bumps and makes a ugly clanking sounds.

change out your brake pads.. that might solve your problem.

if you can notice the noise more when at slow speeds (under 10mph) and especially if you turn one way or the other it probably is the wheel bearing.

I had that was shot and I could really tell when I was going slow or if I was going fast and had to slam on the breaks (steering wheel was all over the damn place).

it kind of sounded like someone was waving their hand back and forth in front of a fan.......
