No adjustable suspension alowed. If the Police notices hydraulics, air suspension or adjustable coilovers the police can legaly impound the car.

I just want to thank the dumbasses that are bouncing there cars up and down on the streets and loosing control and causing accidents. And to the idiots who ride on super stiff suspension and spinning out. hmm.. who is your friend in sac? and your friends at UTI? how could they have confirmed this? who are they and what do they do in order for them to attain this info? because so far i havent been able to come up with any type of confirmation.. not even rumors, except this thread right here =/

1. Carpool lane - 1st time $1068.50 starting 1/1/07 (NOT the $271 posted on the highway). Don’t do it again because 2nd time is going to be double. 3rd time triple, and 4th time license suspended!
2. Incorrect lane change $380. Don’t cross lane on solid lanes or intersection
3. Block intersection - $485
4. Driving on the shoulder - $450
5. Cell phone on in a construction zone. - Double fine
6. Passengers over 18 not on the seat belts - both passengers and drivers get ticket
7. Speeders can only drive 3 miles above the limit.
8. DUI = JAIL

Meh...California never ceases to amaze me. It is constantly one thing after another. Always trying to be the brain child of some new law or idea. I'm wondering who are they trying to save here?

I can actually rationalize such a law. I saw a gentleman crusing down a major thouroughfare here in Raleigh ( Capital Biz. or US 1 North) in an Expodition with a slammed rear with a somewhat elevated front. How do you stop a 4000 lb. piece of shit Fawk if I know?

I can promise you that the 0-60 stopping time is drastically more than the factory/stock distance.

btw, hard to make something illegal when it comes stock on so many cars (especially luxory, air suspension that is).. not to mention that almost all semi's an larger commercian trucks too have built in air suspension to auto level according to the weight of the load..... hmm... wonder how that'll work out.... should be interesting

That is how the elite want it. We are slowly and steadily moving toward a police state. It is inevitable. Obviously voting does nothing anymore.

If you want to read about some crazy stuff that California and the CHP do, research "Opperation Pipeline". You will find that the police department will use any excuse to pull over a vehicle. I think this thread is referring to air bags and hydrolics. If they are going to tag people with fully adjustable suspension than:

a) later model crotch rockets should get tagged
b) all these exotic cars - F430, Murcielago, Carrera GT will all get tagged
c) people with lifted trucks should get penalized too
d) not that it affects me but do we have any sort of concrete evidence?

Be happy u´re not in portugal if they suspect your car is modded they will impound it, u can then pick it up and have 1 month to put it back like stock as after that time its going to be inspected by some technicians and dyno´ed to check the power output.

Your "friends" are full of shit son. There is no law in the California Vehicle Code that prohibits "adjustable" suspension.

There is a law that states that no point on the vehicle may be lower than the lowest part on the rims though.

How can they make something that comes standard on several cars illegal? I just don't get it. Many Porsche and Lotus models among others come with adjustable ride height suspensions from the factory. The Ferrari Enzo has hydraulics that raise the front end a few inches for clearing driveways. I guess it will just be another case of selective law enforcement. Just like every import with a loud exhaust getting hassled by the cops while Harleys that are 100 times louder drive by. I've been hassled for my exhaust jsut because it's "bigger than stock" even though it is quieter than a bone stock '07 SI, not to mention most exotics. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emthdown.gif
