Default My Crazy NOPI weekend...damn...

FRIDAY

Well Friday night was cool. Tried to get in touch with a few Honda-Tech guys but either they gave me the wrong number or they just didn't answer is a mystery???

Well anyways, I met up with TJ, Marc, and the rest of the crew at Chilis. I had a quick dinner because I was already late. Anyhow, the Atlanta Import crew left there and headed to the Sports Authority. On the first light right after we left I saw a car make a left turn in front of a speeding mustang and the mustang locked up his rears and man that was a sight.

Anyways, got to Sports Authority parking lot and it was all packed and there were so many, ahem, rice, ahem...that we decided to leave. So we all headed down to Atlanta Motorspeedway. Knowing TJ(RATEDR), and his tendency to do 100 over the posted limit, I slowed my *** down because I didn't want to get a ticket.

That pack got separated and we ended up hanging out a few miles away from AMS. The night was cool and TJ got a nice little ride in a supercharged mustang. Talk about spinning his tires in 2nd and 3rd gear... SWEET!

On the way home, decided to stop by Marc's house to take a look at his GSR. Oh man...I almost cried looking at the Advan RG's all bent up. Did I mention they were bronze seventeen inchers?

Didn't see any worthy cars on the road that night...mostly Ricers

SATURDAY

Woke up early when my cousin arrives from South Carolina. (Sine with his PY ITR that was purchased from Jason. No Tag...:thumbdown

We sit and debate whether or not we should take our cars or just pack in one Hooptie. But we decided that our cars would be the last to be targeted compared to the other highly modified cars outside. Besides...there were hella Yellow ITRs there.

So all gets ready and we caravan up to AMS.

We get there and see this long *** line...We find parking...wait in line for thirty minutes. Did I mention that while I was waiting in line I was carrying my heavy laptop for a friend to use... . We get in there, split up and I headed directly to the NC boys. They were still sober when I arrived. I find out that they had everything arranged and I walked off to put the laptop up in a friend's car. During the split up, I was trying to get in contact with everyone. I didn't know that the Cell lines would be clogged up and I got nothing but busy signals.

Walk around for a while and got to see a couple decent cars. Talked to a guy in Miami about his JDM front end. And stood in the background of Speedvision while they interviewed a friend of mine, Tim.

Left and went to get some food. Stayed home for a bit to just chill cuz my legs were aching and my foot hurts. Damn Sandals!!!

We finally decide to head back around 8. here comes the first sign.

I was following Sine's ITR with no tags as he makes a left turn on 19/41 and cuts right in front of a cop that was escorting a wrecker.

Cops says: Oh just get in my way don't you
Sine: Sorry officer
Cop: You'll be sorry alright

*all of this on his loud as mic...embarassing at the least*

Sine makes his way and follows my brother's IS300 and I quickly follow behind Sine. Still has no tags...And we're stuck in bumper to bumper traffic.

The cop radios it in and a cop in the intersection pulls up behind me with the lights. Dumbass me was still confused what's going on because I didn't do anything wrong just pulled the e-brakes and waited for the officer to approach the car right in the middle of the traffic. *didn't want to pull over into the ditch because I didn't know what was in it*

I wait a couple of minutes and I still see his lights, so I'm thinking has this guy forgot to turn it off? A couple of minutes we sit in traffic and he still hasn't instructed me to pull-over or wail his siren or anything like that. He gets frustrated and gets out of his car and approaches mines:

Cop: don't you know what the blue lights mean son?
me: I'm sorry officer I didn't want to pull in the ditch
Cop: well pull over

I proceeded to pull over.

he gets out of his cars and I have insurance and driver's license ready in hand. Hands on the steering wheels.

Me: I was waiting for you to instruct me officer
Cop: well you should know, there is a $600 fine for failure to yeild to an emergency vehicle. I didn't want to pull you over, I wanted the guy in front of you
Me: I'm so sorry officer, I'm embarassed, I don't know what I was thinking...I didn't have that much room to pull over and didn't want to run over anything dangerous..
Cop: Well I'm not trying to ruin anyone's day. You got a clean record, but just take this as a lesson.
Me: Thank You officer.

He leaves to talk to Sine. Sine shows his Bill of Sales and everything is okay.

So we get stuck in traffic for another hour or two and finally find a shortcut home.

Dumbass me should have taken the warnings of the officer and stayed home that evening...but I didn't. We head up to Sports Authority again to meet up with some friends. On the way there, there were these two guys on a bike popping wheelies on the freeway in darkness...CRAAAAZZZY!!!!!

Stopped by my mom's to get some stuff and headed up to Sports Authority.

When we got to the intersection right in front of AMC24 entrance and Mt.Zion Rd we stopped at a stoplight. A guy in a volvo besides us was asking us to open it up. My brother was driving because I didn't want to. I told my brother that there were too many cops and he didn't. When the light turns green we proceeded to go straight and enter the intersection. When all of a sudden a girl in a beatup Volvo coming from opposite directions runs the red light and makes a left turn. My brother slammed on the brakes...*EXCELLENT BRAKES*...but unfortunately it was to late. She cracked my front bumper, scratched my right headlight assembly and scuffed up my front lip. I was in joy that my front bra was on because if it hadn't been on, I would have got major damage. Anyways...I pull into the parking lot of Barnes and Nobles and wait for an officer to arrive. Took a while because a fight broke out at Sports Authority parking lot. A guy behind the gurl that side swiped me stayed around to be a witness to the cops. He was like, I don't know what that gurl was smoking but it was red before she even got there. He's US Army by the way. Cool guy. I thanked him so many times. . Cops come and the girl gets two tickets. One for running the lights and one for Failure to yeild.

This time I got the message loud and clear and went home.

Sorry for the novel...

Wow my weekend wasn't as crazy as yours. Sorry to hear about your car. I would of taken my R up to NOPI but it isn't worth it living in Orlando.

BTW, I met Chris (RSTOR on honda-tech) and he said someone was coming to his car with a computer or something he said. Wonder if that was you by chance. NOPI was pretty cool. Too many ricers with exhausts that make my ears ring after hearing them. One of the best sleepers there IMO was a green Civic. Had all emblems removed and only had exhaust from what the eye could see. No rims or anything. 2 door coupe that had a B18C5 powerplant. Whoa! I was in awe

I don't know, but did you have to quote the entire post just to say that?

Hahaha...That's the first thing that popped in my mind...LoL...No...it's minimal...but it still sucks...just a waste of time.

I'm thinking only the bumper, right headlight assembly, front lip, and nose bra need to be replaced.

Funny what she told the police though. First she was like it was yellow. Then the officer was like, we have a witness here behind you and he said you went on red. Then she said her car died on her. And the officer was like, then why didn't you stop? LMAO...it was funny. TJ stayed for a while just chilling... Thanks TJ...

It's ghey no matter what though...I wish my bro had gunned it and her removing my front end...LoL...oh man...JDM with HID...then later on with Spoon CF Hood and Bonnet...

Now I know why I stay as far away from NOPI as possible

Sorry to hear about your R, but sounds like it could've been worse.

Sorry to hear about the stupid girl Len. for her.

for new JDM front. You'd be surprised how much $ you can get from other people's insurance companies when they're at fault. Give me a call and I'll tell you how. At the very least, you can get a cf hood and HID's for this car...

Guys...I wish but it's minor damages...TJ just gave me the price to replace the parts and it only totals $937 without the paint for the bumper or labor.

I do have access to a body shop though. Probably gonna keep some of the money for my pocket and get my brother to replace the parts and repaint the front clip in our new paint booth.

Seriously though, If I could get JDM front...man that would be schweeeeeeet!!!

I think you might be able to get the jdm front out of it if you do the labor yourself at your shop...
