Default Mugen Generation 2 Wing: REAL or REPLICA? Which one do you have?

After seeing alot of threads where people claim to have a real Mugen wing, Ive decided to compile a few pictures that I have retrieved from the internet.

If you have any more pictures and angles of a GENUINE Mugen wing, please share pictures and tell us other differences that I have not been able to identify.

Characteristics of Replica's

1) The center section is one piece. The end pieces (still metal) is attached to the center section
2) The center section is made of a carbon fiber overlay
3) It adjusts from the back and uses the front portion to pivot

Characteristics of Genuine

1) The front part of the wing is adjustable. Meaning it pivots from the back
2) Can only be adjusted by seperating the center section from the end pieces (still metal)
3) You cannot pivot a Genuine wing from the OUTSIDE, must be taken apart.

Here's a pic of my replica when I was installing it. Notice the shape of the metal end pieces and the length and the wing.

Yes, it was declared as a replica when I bought it.

wow I never knew the replicas still said mugen on the side panels. I got scared for sec and I had to go out and inspect mine to make sure it is real. It is real by the way.

bad pic but I don't feel like disassebling the wing to take pics

Hey Migs.. here's a picture of my wing.... since you asked to see.. I will take more shots if you're interested....

The genuine wing's mid section isn't dipped like the replica -- it's shaped more like a wing on a plane...

Thanks Clayton, I've never seen a virgin mugen wing before. If only you sold them prepainted... Excellent photos to document the real mccoy for future reference.

Does the mid-section of the Replica wing really sit up top (Waaaaay up there) like that? It looks awful in that pic posted above on the CW... looks much higher and hard to call a replica if its so different. I figured it would bolt on the inside of the side sections similar to the Mugen wing....

No, it attaches same as the Mugen piece. You can see the mounting holes in the picture.

It looks as if he is just resting the cross section on the outer portions of the wing. Even with that, it looks like it wont line up!

He's just showing that the center section is longer than it should be.

Purchased new from King a few months ago...

See the little black metal tab under the front on the wing in this pic? I don't think the fakes have that (not sure though).

Wing from a few different angles...

It serves a purpose on the track, i see no other reason for using it.
I'm sure most people use it for that reason.

Dammnit!!!! I think I bought a used replica. The kid was selling it to me as a genuine. When I was buying I had some inclination that it could be fake, something just wasn't right.

I told him of my concerns and that I'd pass on the deal. I turned around and asked him if he'd be willing to deal with me on the thought that the wing could be fake....surprisingly after a bit of haggling, I think I bought the wing for $375 (it was a while back, so I'm not sure).

I went home feeling guilty that I may have gotten over on him for a genuine piece. Now to come find out that I may not have. What's the normal cost for a replica with the "Mugen" on the sides? I'd hope that I didn't get done in on a fake AND overpaid for it.

Damnit to heck!!!

**Editted for foul language

Mine is a replica. I was lacking a bit in the knowledge catagory when purchasing it from a guy on ITRCA.com/H-T. I paid damn near a 'Authentic' price for a used one which bums me out a bit. I hate being scammed...
