i would choose the motul 8100 0w-40 b/c its close to being a 30wt. oil, 13.3cst@100F (anything below 12.5cst@100F is a 30wt.) and it has a higher high temperature high shear number than the 5w-40.
5w-40 HTHS=3.57
0w-40 HTHS=3.66
-the HTHS number is an indication of an oils ability to resist shearing at high temperatures. the higher the number the better.
generally the higher viscosity an oil has the higher the HTHS number will be. so looking at these number there doesnt seem to be much of a difference until you factor in that the 5w-40 has a higher viscosity than the 0w-40 (14.0<13.3) but the 0w-40 has a higher HTHS number than the 5w-40.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Where did u get those information from?

youll have to get the 30wt. data sheets from motul. most all of the major motor oil producers have their product data sheets on the web except for castrol. youll have to hit up castrol for their PDS.
