JDM Foglight Switch Wiring - How to

For those who keep asking and to have this archived for later searches
Here it is.
First you will need the plug from a 94-01 Integra's Cruise control switch, Just cut it off the main harness with 4-6" of wire. The colors of the wires will be different than the ones shown here, But the pin locations are the same (I will update this with correct pics at a later time)
These were posted at one time by Glen UKB18C6

Once you have that all sorted out you will need to run power and ground to the switch for the switches illumination and also for its output.
The (+)Constant, (-)Ground, and (+)Lights on will all be tapped from the Accessory plugs on the fuse box, Use 16 gauge wire to run to the switch and relay, Use Insulated Female Spade terminals crimped onto the wire to plug it into the accessory locations and to the Relay (Unless you have a relay harness).
The relay is a standard 30 or 40 amp relay available at any auto parts or Car Audio store.
Use the following diagram to wire the switch and foglights up.
http://www.ipsracing.com/tech/foglightdir3.jpg

The Blue wire going to the engine bay that passes power to the actual foglights is already in the cars harness, Its a blue wire with Brown connector, wrapped to the closest wiring with blue tape. One end is located under the dash right above the clutch pedal (connect this to the relays output), the other end is in the engine bay on the driver side headlights harness brown connector blue tape (Extend this wire to the foglights power terminal on both headlights.

The foglights will work whenever the parking, low or high beam lights are on and the switch is on.
This will work with any aftermarket foglight kit also.

PS We still have a few JDM Foglight switches on Special http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsmile.gif

Back from the dead!

So how do I wire it up so that the foglights go off when the high beams are turned on?

Theres a wire near the Headlight switch wrapped in blue tape, Tap into it for power to turn the relay on instead of tapping into the accessory slots above the fuse box

Thanks, that was way easier than thinking on my own.

Re: JDM Foglight Switch Wiring - How to (TypeRmsm)

any nice instructions on how to hook up the JDM fogs for a USDM fog light switch? http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emsmile.gif I think it should be all the same... just trying to figure out which pins to connect the 2 grounds, 2 switched inputs, and the switch output wires.
does the plug from the Integra Cruise switch plug directly into the USDM fog light switch as well?

If the cruise control switch plug and USDM foglight switch plug were interchangeable, we would say you could use either instead of saying that you must use the cruise control switch plug. http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthup.gif

JDM ITRs don't have this rear foglight, right?

We're talking about the foglight that is inside the headlight housing, nearest the grill, not the rear foglight.

Why is UKDM on the picture? The UKDM doesn't have that foglight stock. The frontend is the same as the USDM.

'

Glen from England made the pic of his front foglight switch. It's the switch for the optional front foglights mounted in the front lip.

Re: JDM Foglight Switch Wiring - How to (Reid)

http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emhammer.gif oops my bad i misread the instructions. So if I had a USDM Cruise Control switch... I cut off the plug and some wires... connect the wires according to the diagram and stick the flat side of the plug into the JDM Fog Light switch right?
Now my question is... does anyone know how to hook up the JDM Fogs to a USDM Fog Light switch? I like the way the fog light switch will fit in the holes near the E-Brake. From the pics I've seen of the USDM Fog Light switch... it's just a button with a bunch of pins... trying to figure out which pins to connect to what.
Thanks! http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthup.gif

No Problem, I haven't had a chance to check the colors on the JDM plug since most don't get them with a New setup and used are scarce. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
