ITR 01-0031 Im back!
Well a few might know me i had 98-1031 and got rid of it back in 2009. Well ive had Many cars in between and now i had a chance to get into another. Yellow wasnt really my choice but she was bone stock never modified!
After i got her I spent a week Tearing out all the interior and making it flawless and giving the whole car a great detail. I put brand new itr checkered floor mats and trunk mat in her and replaced almost all the bolts in the engine bay with new oem honda bolts. Also bought a new oem heat shield too!
Mainly going to keep her semi stock. Already installed function form type 2 coilovers and a few spoon goodies along with a injen short ram intake. I like to keep it pretty clean and simple and yes i do daily drive this car but she stays locked up in a garage at night.
Enough with the talking here is some pics from when i got her till now!
Curious if any of the old owners are on here
Ill post in this thread updates as well. Next plan is tint and dunlop direzza dz101 205-50-15 tires
My old 98-1031
Repainted oem muffler
Lowered on function form type 2. rides amazing

Is it still on there? Nothing at all is wrong with the car. it even has a brand new complete bottom end in it from acura because the original owner traded it in with a knock and acura took it in on a trade and put a new c5 bottom end in it less than 20k ago
And keeping all oem parts in a box so if i ever want to go back to full oem i can.
I love this thing. it looks to have been babied its whole life and kept very clean

Nice R. I'm five badge numbers lower, 0026! You replaced the floor mats with brand new inside and trunk? Did you have them saved or did you source them somewhere? Also if you're really trying to keep it stock the 2001 ITR mats are black, 97-00 R's had the checkered look and the Type R mat in the trunk.

Last time i checked it was no longer on autotrader. I read that before about the original owner taking the car back to Acura because of a bad knock and a guy who worked there purchased it after it was repaired. Just didn't know if it was true or not. Anyway, very clean and pretty R. Keep her safe.

thats the story i was told that the original owner got a rod knock and traded it in and the service manager there bought it and put a new c5 bottom end in it and then sold it to the guy i got it from. Either way she runs amazing and burns no oil and im very very picky about my cars and this one for sure has me happy. I dont like the black 01 mats. they are to thin and wear out really fast. i found brand new checker floormats on ebay that had just been listed within of 3 mins of me seeing them so bought em for 200 and the trunk mat was new from a user on here.

Looks pretty clean.
Your underhood mods remind me of 2001 with the Spoon rad stays, rad cap and oil cap, plus the filter-on-a-stick.
These ECUs do not like hot air though, but I'm sure it sounds 10x better.

Re: ITR 01-0031 Im back!
Basically, any full-bodied coilover less than $1K is going to have a fair-to-poor damper and have an extremely narrow operating range/utility (shocks are always the most expensive part of a suspension setup to develop as that's where ride and handling is tuned).
