Re: How much is my car worth?? (acurar)
Pictures please, I think you can get a decent amount for it. But when people see turbo'd cars they think they've bean beat on like drums. If you would have left the motor alone I would have to say $21,000-$24,000.
Not sure right now.

where do you get your numbers?
kbb lists it at 17,000 from dealer, and since they dont have a database for private party i would say 17,000 is max for this vehicle
after doing compression check etc is when the true value of this car could be said especially with it being turbocharged etc

14 bucks and a pack of newports?
I think the old adage goes "it's only worth as much as somone will pay for it". FWIW I could see it selling in the 18k-16.5k regions.

well KBB is what most banks/credit unions base their loans off from.... i doubt anyone has 20,000 laying around to spend on a car, and if the banks dont think they are worth that much id rather go off from their figures seeings they are the professionals

actually im in here everyday and know quite a bit about type r's
i know that itr's on h-t are usually inflated in price compared to ebay, autotrader etc
and i would say his car is worth around 17,000 but nowhere near 20 grand, thats like saying the car only depreciated 4k in 4 years... sorry as nice as they are... their not that nice nor that rare
i see myself getting a type r within the next couple of years but i dont see myself paying more than 14-15k depending on condition

It may be a Canadian version too.
Turbo R's < Stock ITR's in resale as a rule of thumb (despite the blood & sweat)

Wrong. Most banks, CU, dealerships use NADA. But more importantly, on cars like the R, NADA figures are thrown out the window.
And don't trust banks, because they're "professionsals". If they are pros and knew everything about pricing and investing, ......welll, just look at how many banks are in trouble right now. Major trouble.

i think R's are becoming more rare with how many get stolen and crashed in some cases.....even more rare to find one with this low of miles and clean title

For being in here everyday, you don't know **** about Type R's.
OP, really nice car, FI hurts on resale, but you've got low mileage so that balances it out in my regards, I would say you could fetch 18-20 with the right buyer who has a good amount of cash to put down

when you have the certifications and have been around as long as i have then you can step up.. until then stfu

Re: (actionanh)
As much as it will be a burden to you, I would really advise you to return the car to stock as much as possible. Others have already pointed this out, but the FI setup really hurts your price. Sell the aftermarket parts and return the car to stock. It will help it sale and you usually benefit financially. Car looks mint, 25,000km is nothing!
