About as illegal as your user name should be.

wow - I just started looking into this last week and had some luck. I re-routed mine but I think I'mma remove mine. I'm running a b16 with b18c5 t/b and i/m and had some issues because the stock b16 parts differ from the R stuff - so anyway pm'd you.

The evaporative emissions system traps fuel vapor from the gas tank that would normally evaporate out. This is stored in the charcoal canister and then is purged into the engine at startup. So this system works more for you when your car is sitting than it does when it is running. Surprisingly, some cars actually pollute more when they are sitting than when they are running.

what do i do with the hoses that is leads to the PURGE VALVE thats located on the firewall, if i just want to remove the EVAP system and leaving the canister where it is?

whats steps are different, if canister are left in place, especially the hoses.

thx in advance

Hmmm, I've been trying to figure out where to place my new crank ventilation breather bottle and I think I just found it. Looks like the EVAP will be on it's way out.

Sorry these pics will forever be lost. The computer they were on exploded and my membership at the hosting site long since expired. You guys shouldnt remove your EVAP anyway its bad for the environment

to the above poster, assuming that is the correct line, yes you need to run a hose from there to there so any vapors are released out under the car as opposed to in the engine bay.

It's the line that's on the firewall pulled off from the big canister. So I guess it's the right one

I know this thread old as hell but any way i can cut off my p1457 forever and keep it stock? I have an 01 integra type r and in my state when the car is 20 yo no more inspections. It sooo annoying to look at and I’d tried everything to fix it lol
