Getting rid of humidity out of japan spec ITR headlights?
My japan spec ITR headlights got soaked a bit by my friend who sprayed water (with the hood closed, thankfully!) onto the front end and since my headlights did not have the black triangular shaped cover for the fog light bulbs, they got some water into them. What can i do (without having to remove them) to dry this up?
Thanks,
Mark

not good. i ended up opening up all the access covers and running a blow dryer on the outside across the lights and hoped for the best. i got 90% of it but on really damp/cold days you can see condensation forming along the bottom of the lenses

Hey Benjamin Tang
Hey Ben:
So you ran the blow dryer on the outer plastic lens of the lights? I just removed the access covers and will work with the blower tomorrow.

Nice car on your web page, but the picture quality does not do the car justice.
Hope you get that water outa there! Would a dehudifier or (don't laugh) rice work???

Yes, you are correct. Picture quality really sucks. Those were taken over a year ago. The car now looks much better and has a few new items installed. I will have good quality pictures up soon. I am going to try that blower procedure and see what happens.

Re: Hey Benjamin Tang (se93)
My only thought is to securely attach some string to some little silica bags (like come in pockets of clothing and shoes) and leave them in the assembly for a while (do not drive with them in there ,but do put them in for the evening).
Perhaps this will help to dehumidify the assemblies?
This was a long running problem with my '87 Cougar. I ended up replacing the assemblies so that the water wouldn't get in in the first place.
Good luck! Hope you get it fixed.
