Error Code 41 O2 Sensor

Just curious as to what this code means... and this is happening on a 98 GS-R.. if any of you know.. let me know.. it just might mean that the 02 sensor is bad, but let me know what you guys think..... thanks...

Posted this in the Integra forum, but had no responses.. so now I'm posting it here.. hopefully someone knows something about this...

Thanks... the thing is that I don't have the car.. it's a car that I'm looking to buy.. and the guy says that it has that problem... how serious is the error and will it affect smogging.... and will it be hard to fix....??

Re: Error Code 41 O2 Sensor (ITR#00-1077)

it WILL affect emissions.
the difficulty level in repair could be anywhere between 5 sec job to super
electrical troubleshooting.

Re: Error Code 41 O2 Sensor (sgT)

Now is that all that is involved.. just a bunch of electrical troubleshooting.... on an estimate... how much do you think it will cost to fix or troubleshoot....??

Re: Error Code 41 O2 Sensor (ITR#00-1077)

odds are that there is just a break in the connection. The heater wires
have been known to fall out of the sensor connector which is a very easy fix.
What I suggest you do, is take a look at the car and see if you can visually see
the cause of the problem.

Re: Error Code 41 O2 Sensor (sgT)

OK... that doesn't seem hard to do... but would a simple change of the 02 sensor fix that problem.. since you say it's only a connection matter... thanks for the help...

Re: Error Code 41 O2 Sensor (ITR#00-1077)

if the wires at the plug look fine, then yu can try changing the sensor itself,
however if that doesnt fix the problem, then it could get a lot hairier

Well, the guy says the car still runs fine... just that error pops up... but I'll check out the car see what else is wrong with it... and thanks....
