a(count)ing for the 97 type R's
considering the car is now almost 7 years old and only what... 318 brought to the usa. Theft, crashes, track distruction etc there can't be too many 97 type R's left. I'm not looking for photos..nothing of the sort. I'd like to make up a list of what cars we know of. I'm not interested in hey there is one in tomato patch wisconsin...i'm looking for specific numbered vehicles. 2 lists. One US and 1 canadian. Please add your number to the list and its location. State location is fine. If you know the number of a car which is DEFINITELY not around anymore do to those things listed previously...please say so and so number is gone. No photos...just a number, round about location and if its still alive or not. This list actually may help determine the value of your car...so keep it accurate. If anyone with a 97' is missing a badge, they can contact Tyrant_007
or doespike on Honda-tech. I'll keep track of the numbers...just post what you have or know of US #002 ? There are more than you think. My guess is that the number still around is in the 250-275 range. I would also guess that if you compile numbers from this board, you won't come up with more than at most maybe 20 percent of them, probably less - and the same thing is true of any other year. Believe it or not, not all ITR owners follow this board. (Just the truly special ones.) So whatever count you come up with here, doesn't account for all the ITR owners who don't post here. I'm not trying to flame you for the effort, just being realistic... |
Re: a(count)ing for the 97 type R's (zygspeed)
# 98 alive and well in KY w/ 55K miles

Re: a(count)ing for the 97 type R's (nsxtasy)
i understand that. but the chances are that someone knows of one, has one, owned one and knows where it is etc. The percentage of them being stuffed in a garage for 7 years are slim. With 60,000 members here and most of them knowing what an Integra Type R is..helps some. I know this list will be very short coming but between here and http://www.itrca.com/registry/index.php there and wherever else a rough idea might come about. Maybe your location is being more optimistic on a number. Here in the North East most of them are gone. They disappeared through theft. No flame taken

Re: a(count)ing for the 97 type R's (Willard)
I'm very surprised at that thread. they are out of sequense? Thats really weird. If i'm not mistaken....the list would be something like vin number dfjakwefefjwejfw0001-dfjakwefefjwejfw0480 which would make it possibly easy to bring a canadian itr into the usa
