1997 #50/318 Second Owner since 24,500 miles, STOCK! NC $13,900

Well the time has come to depart with #50 after four great years of ownership and experiences. I’m selling the car to purchase something a little newer, fewer miles, and less reliable from Germany. Let me start by saying that the car is problem-free and very reliable for daily driving, track duty, and cross country expeditions. I don’t really need to part ways with it so the asking price point is relatively firm.
After regretfully selling my first ’00 FBP R in preparation for my wedding, I continued to search the typical auto web classified sites for ITRs, almost as if it were an impulsive habit and found my ’97 two hours away in Wilmington, NC with 24,450 miles in the possession of the first owner. So, I went down a checked it out and the seller was a very friendly local business owner in his mid-40’s. He told me he simply purchased the car new from Hendrick Acura in Charlotte after originally just intending the buy a “normal” Integra due to how much he enjoyed driving his wife’s second gen.
Needless to say, I bought the car after a 10 minute test drive, no Carfax, and no inspection of any sort, it was a done-deal. The car was perfect and the seller was waaaaay too obsessive for me not to jump on it. BTW, it was never raced and he was getting rid of it to make room for him and his wife’s Road King Harleys.

Long story long, he was a gent who took care of the car, shifted below 3,000k every shift, and took six years to accumulate 24,000 miles.
Four years later the car is in great condition for a ten year old racecar. I would venture to say that there can only be a handful of cleaner, well-cared for ‘97s out there given the original production quantity. I’ve washed it every two weeks on average and kept everything in great working order including with proper maintenance for example, valve adjustments, fluid/filter changes, electrical/ignition components, and so forth.
It’s a very clean car and those who have met me over the years can vouch, especially you Madspeed guys at the beach.
Regretfully, the car has never been tracked or drag raced. I don’t really know or care to know the first thing about street racing. There are two many folks on our roadways that have families that love them dearly.
The car has been in 20-25 local autocrosses with Tarheel Sports Car Club:
’04 TIR Class 1st place
’05 D Stock 1st place
’06 “X” (formerly Pro) runner-up
My ITR is all stock with the exception of the Axxis pads and K&N filter. The only other aftermarket items that have been installed have been several different tire brands.

Stock 2001 Phoenix Yellow Acura Integra Type R #0864.
I am the 3rd owner of the car. I purchased the car in April 2006 from a fellow H-T
member in Kansas City, Missouri. He had owned the car since April 2004. He purchased the car from Superior Acura dealership in Olathe, Kansas. The car itself runs great and I have loved every minute of owning it. I have just come to a point in my life where the car doesn't mean as much to me as it did previously and I think it should go to someone that would enjoy it more than I do. I am asking $15,000 FIRM for the car.
Here are the specs on the car.
2001 PY ITR #0864
VIN can be provided for serious buyers.
75k miles
This car is daily driven but is garage kept.
Exterior:
New OEM side/rear ITR stickers (color correct for a PY; need to be installed)
ITR Nose Bra (possibly; in the process of searching for one now)
Interior:
8.5/10 (driver's seat has a small wear mark on mesh and the tops of the rear seats are faded)
Brand new OEM floormat set (still in packaging)
Brand new OEM armrest with original badge number (still in packaging; blank badge is in car)
Extra set of used floormats and used ITR armrest w/blank ITR badge will be included

There are a few slight flaws. I will try to make sure all flaws are shown in the pictures. As stated earlier, there is a small wear mark on the mesh portion of the driver's seat. It is very small and is pretty much out of sight. The front bumper has normal rock chips that come along with a 70k daily driven car. There is a small ding directly in front of the gas door. The car had an aftermarket exhaust on it when I purchased it and the tip was a little to close to the rear bumper and has wore on it. All performance parts (Comptech Icebox, DC Sport 4-1 header, Magnaflow hi-flow cat, and T1R 63mm exhaust) were on the car when I purchased it and have now been removed and replaced with OEM parts. All new mounting hardware/gaskets were installed on the exhaust. The car also had a CF hood when purchased. The hood has since been sold and replaced with a factory PY hood from H-T member MattyP's car. It matches perfectly; however, the VIN on the hood obviously doesn't match the VIN of the actual car.
The car was under an extended factory warranty until January 2008. The car will also receive a complete detail before it is purchased.
I have re-uploaded the older pictures that I have of the car (6-8 months old) and I will take some new pictures this weekend if at all possible. I will also take some motor pictures; the only ones that I have are from when I purchased the car (it still had bolt-ons).
The car is now listed on eBay and will be going on Autotrader.com and Cars.com the first of the week.
There are no spots on the rear seats as they appear in these last two pictures. I think it is a combination of lighting and the way the fabric is brushed.

Very clean ITR for sale. Has a rebuilt title due to theft. The car was stolen shortly after it was purchased off the lot in 1998. Motor was stolen and it is now replaced with a B18C1 with Type R internals (cam gears, cam shafts, rods, etc). The car is straight and there are no body damages. The motor currently has 96k miles and runs and drives very smooth and strong. No leaks or oil burns. Clean interior and exterior. Only mods are an intake and aftermarket racing clutch. The only flaws I can think of are the quarter panels are fading slightly from sun damage? The front seats have a few coffee stains but nothing a carpet cleaner wouldn't get rid of. The roof of the car has sustained considerable damage and will most likely need to be replaced. The driver rear quarter panel also has some damage and will need to be repaired. The two front fenders need to be repaired or replaced. The Passenger side door has some dents. Look over the pictures to view the damage. This will make a great car for a person handy with body work. The engine is intact and working, just as the braking system. Except for the front fenders and some slight damage to the lip, the front is in good shape. I’m fairly sure the insurance company declared it a salvage with the DMV. Take a look at the video and pictures to have an idea at how the car sits. 1998 Championship White Type R
1998 CW ITR
- 117,xxx miles
- Clean and clear title
- Everything works perfectly, A/C is ice cold, pw, pl, and all lights
- Equipped with one of the best alarms in the market
- Just had the major 120k tune up ($1800). Included new timing belt, water pump, all accessory belts, distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs, sparkplug wires, air filter, all seals and gaskets, all valves adjusted, all fluids replaced including brake fluid, synthetic oil and filter, clutch fluid, transmission fluid, and coolant.
- Car does not have a radio in it b/c I removed it
- Body wise the car is near perfect except for the driver door. The door was opened half way and a lady pulling into a parking spot next to me bumped it and took off. Pretty much just needs a new door skin (~$250-$300) if you want to fix it. The door still closes fine and all.
- Only modification to the car is as follows
Apexi World Sport Coilover System in perfect working condition. No leaks at all.
Bride Ergo Reclinable Seat
Nardi Suede 350mm Rally Deepcorn Steering wheel with NRG Hub and NRG quick release

So time has come for me to consider the option of selling my R, its a 2000 Phoenix Yellow Type R, Clean Title, 79k on the body and 25k on 04 k20a2 motor/tranny swap.
