Why is it a salvage title?

Because the inspector was an a**hole.
That's the short answer.
I was t-boned. When the inspector looked at it, he said the repairs will cost more than my shop had estimated (I refused to use their body shop), and that if they sign off on the work, it would turn out to be more. But I got it fixed with receipts on hand. No frame or engine damage

Do you have a pic of before it was fixed?

Yes. I also have pics of the car before it was fixed too so you can see it did not touch the engine

2001 clean title type R
Currently just hit 110,000 miles, it has been my dd for the last almost 3 years and never had a problem.
It has aem cold air intake
Dc header, skunk2 resonator and apexi n1 exhaust
Comes with skunk lowering springs also, and rides on konig yellow struts
Magnacore plug wires
Everything else is stock.
Always taken care of mechanically,
But the paint is shot. It's spent most of its life in Florida
Therefor no rust but a lot of sun beating on the paint, obviously typical honda black paint though.has a door ding on the passenger rear quarter, other than that there is no body damage. Only selling because I had to buy a 4 door due to growing family. I am very view on price so don't waste my time with low ball offers.
It holds a clean and clear florida title, but I live in SoCal, I don't know if it'll pass california smog and all the crap they require , because of the exhaust and all
And I am not willing to try to register it in california, that'll be up to the buyer if he or she lives in california

1998 CW ITR #189 FS- Central FL
I have decided to go a different direction for a daily driver, so 98-0189 is up for sale. I bought her in July 2013 with no air conditioning and missing some of the interior; but overall complete. Title status is salvage because she was stolen and stripped. NO wrecks, and all VIN tags on the body panels match. Never looks like any panels have ever been off, including the nose and bumper. JDM B18C Type-R that runs great and does not use oil. 131,200 miles and counting.
Over the last year, this is what has been done:
•July 13- Replace all four tires- 205/50/15 Hankook Ventus
•Aug 13- Replace all four brake rotors and pads, pressure washed undercarriage and motor
•Sep 13- Installed OEM optional side skirts with new hardware, installed Password JDM rear strut bar, replaced hatch actuator with OEM, removed rear wiper and replaced with Password JDM plug.
•Oct 13- Installed complete A/C system, replaced most bolts with OEM. Installed JDM rear seat and OEM seatbelts. Cleaned all interior panels as they were out for the install.
•Nov 13- Flushed radiator, brakes, clutch, power steering, replaced rack and pinion boots, alignment, replaced fuel filter and spark plugs (NGK Platinum #PFR7G-11) all OEM except for ATE Super Blue for brakes and clutch. Overall health checkup came back clean. Done at Ferman Acura.
•Feb 14- Windows professionally tinted, driver’s side door latch and lock actuator replaced.
•Mar 14- Oil and filter changed. Honda OEM filter, Castrol GTX 5W-30 oil. Installed new OEM Denso compressor. Filled with 4oz of Honda spec compressor oil. Had A/C system recharged and is ice cold.
•May 14- Installed new OEM clutch master and slave cylinders, steel braided clutch line. Flushed and bled system.
•Jul 14- Rota slips were sandblasted and powdercoated white. New forged aluminum lug nuts installed. OEM Honda caps painted and installed.
•Aug 14- Interior completely removed and everything shampooed. Exterior was buffed and polished.
•Sep 14- Oil and filter changed. Honda OEM filter and Mobil1 extended life full synthetic 5w-30 oil.
As part of the sale, the new owner also gets the following parts:
•BNIB OEM Champ White front lip and all new hardware to mount.
•BNIB OEM arm rest, badge, front and rear A’s, and full ITR decal set
•Two boxes of other new OEM bolts, oil filters, used interior panels, and assorted other OEM parts.
•Two spare sets of floor mats- used but in decent shape. One JDM set one USDM set.
As she sits, I would give the exterior a 7.5 because the front lip needs replaced (did not want to put new one on when she is a DD), and the rear bumper needs repainted. Other than that, the paint is really shiny and in decent shape for a 16 year old car. The interior I would rate an 8 because the driver’s seat has some wear and some seams getting loose. Other than that seat, everything else is in great shape.

Update 1/6/15- Price reduced. I had some folks who wanted to see proof of the Type-R motor. Here are pics of the B18C stamp, LSD stamp, and the Type-R PR3 head code.
Also had folks asking about rust. I cannot find evidence of any rust on any body panel or on the suspension. Underside is very clean and looks like all bolts, etc are intact.

I am putting my low mileage Acura Integra Type R for possible sale. I am in no rush what so ever to sell. Only thinking about selling to get back into a Supra. As the car stands it has 46,762 miles but will go up as I am driving it some. The car has a Clean Title, all original bumpers and panels. Does look like at some point a previous owner painted at least the front and rear bumper but like I said, it is the original bumpers and panel with the vin number sticker still on it.

The car runs perfect, has cold A/C, working heater and all power windows work. Only work done to it is an PLM Header, Tanabe cat-back exhaust, high flow cat, AEM Cold Air intake and Tanabe fully adjustable coilovers and front and rear Mugen Strut bars. It is missing the Type R sticker on the driver side and has some small rock chips/scuffs on the front lip. That is pretty much it for the bad. Interior is also mint, has an after market radio but I also have the factory radio.

I owe money on the car so the buyer and I will go to my credit union (Navy Federal) to pay off the car and sign/notorize anything we must to protect the buyer and the seller.

I am asking $17,200, reasonable offers WILL be considered. No joy rides will be taken. I do have two good offers so far but none have left a deposit. I try to be as honest as possible with any potential buyers. I am stationed in Maryland so the car is located up here.

I have a 1997 JDM ITR that was resprayed right after I bought it in the original CW color. Resprayed due to scratches and dings, NOT due to accident. Paint job is about a 9/10, with 10 being factory. Shaved the front emblem, front bumper (properly with plastic welding), and antenna for super smooth look. I am the SECOND owner and I imported it from Japan myself.

Engine is very strong, does not burn a drop of oil or so miniscule that it isnt noticable from oil change to oilchange. This is a pleasant surprise as compared to my other ITR and S2000.

Interior is very clean, only modifications are what appear to be aftermarket red floormats, a deck, and I installed a clock in place of the blank plate.

Car runs like a dream, shifts like a dream and is a hell of a lot of fun.

Im not itching to sell this thing, but I do have 3 cars and Im likely going to end up selling 2 when the right buyer comes along.














The car is PLATED in Alberta, Canada, however I am located in Toronto, Canada. My asking price for this car is 15,000 USD firm. I have replaced the timing belt / water pump and all the cam caps and other misc items for that service interval. I have a distributor that I bought for the car that I will throw in also. Mileage sits at 88k KM which is about 54k miles. Its a gem.
