Default Anyone runnning the new Toyo Proxes 4?

Well im purchasing some tires tomorrow morning for my volks I originally and planned on yokahama ES100 205/45/16 for $350 shipped 2 day from Tirerack, but my friend showed me these new toyo Proxes 4, they have tread wear rating of 300, all season ultra high performance tire. I'm always hesitant on trying new things, especially tires. Need any input anybody has one these tires.

I am going to purchase a pair of 15" light wheels and mount some bfg drag radials son, so Im looking into a non expensive good street tire that will last for myVolks.

Yokahama ES100 $350 shipped + $39 Mount and Balance= $389
Or

Toyo Proxes 4 $378 Mounted and Balance included = $378 (Local deal/friend shop)

?????

What do you guys think?

I think the Yokohama's would end up being the better of the two, unless you plan on seeing a variety of weather conditions including snow, ice, mud, sand, etc. I try and steer away from all season tires as they don't grip up to par with most high performance tires. But since you plan on another set of wheels, it may be worth it just for the treadwear rating.

Dont get me wrong I love the Azenis, I actually have them on the car right now 205/50/15. Problem is going up to a 16" the price dramatuclaly increases they are $20 more per tire than the ES100's. Also they only come in 215/45/16 not exactly the size im looking for, I know they wont rub with 42mm+ offset, but I dont want a big bulky tire.

Im going with the bfg's as my alternate tires with my 15" wheels, for track days, meets, ect.... Im about to tune to 1 bar this month so even if I got the Azenis they wouldn't hook up with 300 hp anyways, so I want something ideal for my daily driving.

Well I did some more searching and i ended up ordering the Es100's

They had tons of good reviews, and they were priced well, so I think I made the best decision for what im looking for.

My verdict on the proxes is still out waiting for a true downpour to compare them to my bridgestone s-03's in rain..Since it just snowed in NY they are okay in snow..but then it was kinda hard to compare any tire since the snow was real soft and gave way a lot..Overall I think they are decent I have maybe 200 miles on tires as it stands.I had s-03's on my r..I'm using the toyo's on my 90 civic.. Hope this helps..
