im only lettin her go for the right price, otherwise, i wouldnt mind keepin it for a weekend or cruisin/tracking car i can only drive it from april-october in this canadian weather, so it only has 65,xxx kms (40,xxx miles) for a 96 specR.

Bone stock is a pro, not a con.. especially if it has always been bone stock.
As for the asking price, it's the seller's choice and it's negotiable. If it needs to be lowered, he has the freedom to lower it.

I think he needs to lower it considering I paid $15,000 for my 1997 ITR 4 years ago. It was Bone stock with a clean title and unmolested and only had 35,000 miles at the time. I know I got a steal on my ITR, but I think a 98' with 35,000 miles is only worth 15-17K realistically depending on how quick you want to sell it...just my opinion.

expletive that, it's a collectors item... If I wasn't hording money to build a house I'd buy it for 20k, then sell it 15 years later with the same milage on it for much much more.

Personally I'd urge him to lower the asking price .. just saying it's his choice.
I guess it's like.. don't tell him he's out of his mind. Let him find out for himself. What if someone actually offers him $21.5k for it?
By the way, you're damn right you got it for a steal.

Re: (itrSteez)
i guess i could ask alot more for mine then, the only thing with mine is that its a 1996 , so 2 years older, but the miles are only 40,xxx original, never seen winter, barely rain, so condition is mint, and its already registered here in ontario, passed everything, and it has alot of aftermarket parts, top quality only ie, spoon, mugen, t1r, skunk2, hks, ats, etc, etc.
Ill wait til spring to sell mine, not in a rush at all really.
