Default Almost done with Expo prep ... thanks Matt!

I talked one of the old sk00l H-T crew to do me a big favor and do some work on my car for me. I'd say I helped, but all I really did is find more stuff for him to put on the car!!

All in all "we" installed the clutch, swapped out the front and rear sway bars for Mugens, installed a fresh Mugen baffled pan, replaced a few engine mounts with Mugens and added inserts, valve adjustment with fresh rotor /cap/valvecover, heat tape wrapped the header, installed the test pipe with an AEM wideband sensor, installed A/F gauge in dash, installed VAFC using harness adapter w/Mugen ECU, Installed Buddy Clubs at all four corners, removed what looked like the original front rotors and installed SS lines and pads all around w/ Smurf calipers, replaced stock USTBs with Mugens as well and finally got an alignment as well as mounted those D01Js on the SSR rims.

Here are a few pics of the goodies and the process.

I'm going to see about getting down to P1 end of next week to check on the A/F's while doing some tuning with the VAFC.

Looks like some fun times. Let us know how everything feels. What are the rates on the Buddy Clubs?

Apparently the stock rates are 10K F and 7K R.

Josh has 10K F and 12K R on his now and likes them that way.

I had 12K F and 14K R on the BCs on my last car and liked the setup very much with Mugen bars.

Quite nice really, comes with a light flywheel as well.
Between the new clutch and the ES shift bushings, there's no mistaking which gear you're selecting.
Pedal pressure is stiffer than stock, but not quite as much as an ACT Extreme, and engagement it quick but still managable.
The trick is to have the clutch engagement either on or off (pedal in or out), because inbetween it pretty much seems to grab anyway.

Yup, which is why I'm grateful for all the assistance.
Will ... Rob and I are planning a trip (or separate trips) down to P1 this week or next.

Well, the old ones are from my wrecked turbo car, and the "fresh" ones do seem to be updated versions (spherical bearing top hats, and a few other minor things).
One of the old ones had a broken mount screw on a top hat, plus ... it was still stuck in the LCA and I didn't know if it was going to be OK (bent shaft or what not). Actually, they were just dirty! LOL!

He didn't break anything. Me ... I broke a tab on the ECU harness ... virtually the only thing I touched.

Hehe ... I knew this subject would come up eventually.
You'll have to ask him yourself, but there was beer and food involved.

yeah, I'd think we could put some info together on them.

Sort of hard to compare my old 12K F/14K R setup with this new version BCs with only a stock 10K F/7K R setup.
I'm willing to give it a try like that at the expo but I'm already working on swappint those springs out for something like 700lb fronts and 850 lb rears.

BTW -- anyone have a spare set of rear mount ES inserts? I seem to have lost mine.
