2018 Summer Tires for 98 spec JDM DC2 16" Rims
Hello All,
I recently sourced a set of JDM 16" wheels in CW. Shopping around for tires in 205/45/16 but having a hard time.
Any recommendations for a summer performance tire in this size in 2018?

Re: 2018 Summer Tires for 98 spec JDM DC2 16" Rims
Further online and HT searches seems to indicate 205/45/16 was OEM for the JDM DC2 Type R. However, 215/45/16 is very close and will be fine if not lowered.
The BRIDGESTONE POTENZA RE-71R is a bit out of my budget for a street tire... Does anyone have any experience / comments on the Yokohama Advan Fleva V701 and/or any others?

For a budget summer tire, would recommend Dunlop DZ102. Don't have same response or grip as RE-71R, but lot less money... They also have very good tread life.

A few miata friends of mine found those dunlops dangerous during florida thunderstorms. It could be a miata thing though.

Have the same wheels in gunmetal. I chose the stock tire size which is 215/45-16 in Falkin Azenis. They were discounted from Tire rack this time a year ago and think I got them shipped for just under $450. Good ratings across the board for them and haven't had any complaints myself. I'd never go back to a 205 after seeing how the 215's looked on the car.
